  1. In which case I'd be tempted to lay the value of the E/W stake on Fred to win, especially as Bungle has place to 6th.
  2. If you don't have one open up a Betfair account, I can refer you if you like and we can share the commission they give me - £25 in credit I think would have to check that. Currently you can "Lay" Fred at 25 (24/1) to win. Say you have £10 at 100/1 potential return is £1010. You could lay the £10 back at 25 which would potentially cost you £250 but you now have a free bet on Fred to win £750. You could also decide to up the stake of the lay and therfore guarantee a profit. (Hope I'm not stating the bleeding obvious).
  3. 2.00 Escort'men - ultra impressive lto, slight concern on ground. Menorah was superb at Chelters, I hope it's left a mark on him. 2.35 Ogee - have my doubts that Burton will like Aintree, Ogee will. 3.10 Kalahari King - race will be run to suit, 3 likely leaders in this pack should set the King up. Will be happy to see Monet win, Geraghty must be gutted that Hendo has one in this. 3.45 Always Waining (e/w) - overpriced on his Aintree form of last year, came 4th in this. A very handy 12lb drop will only assist. If he avoids the likely trouble I expect a place and hope for the win. Will look at the rest when I get back from the fizzy hoe. Good luck.
  4. Lay it like Tiger!!!!
  5. W e s t w o o d is modern slang for see you next Tuesday. Originations said to be from the bell ringing clown down the road. All my stakes are laid back, will sit back and cheer on my team. Come on Yang!!!!
  6. Cheers Frankie. A reasonable return on a tough day. Souffleur got me off to a great start and Black Jack rounded it off nicely. Nice going with Sir Harry obliging, sets you up nicely for tomorrow.
  7. 5.30 Afsoun and Black Jack Blues e/w
  8. Here we go...... 2.00 Souffleur w/o Bucks, 5 on Bf seems generous enough. 2.35 Nafaath with a saver on Sanctuaire. 3.10 Imperial Commander not following the crowd opposing the champ. 3.45 Moncadou 4.20 Pigeon Island 4.55 The Nightingale Best of luck to you all.
  9. Away from Aintree.... Taunton 4.10 Mon Chevalier
  10. In general I am a fan of systemic betting but not for the big meets. Two of the races today are strong Cheltenham trend races. In both the Matalan and Totebowl, 9 of the previous 10 winners were previously seen at the Cheltenham Festival.
  11. Scatter gun preped.... Y.E. Yang to be top ROW 14s on Betfair, also a trade of 170 to win. Ryan Moore 1.83 to make the cut and another little trade price at 150 to win Goose to win at 26. Nick Watney e/w at 65 Anthony Kim at 4.2 for a Top 10
  12. A level day for me with Waterloo obliging. Hope you all had a better day than I.
  13. haha... it's a good thing!! F'sure.
  14. Very competitve race this, looks like a lay at that price.
  15. Sticking with Lingfield today as no jumps action and I dont l get involved in the day to day flat stuff until the guineas meeting has passed. I also cannot make Kempton AW pay so dropped that 2 months ago. That said, Lingfield is a very competitive card today and I like the look of a few: Ling 300 Waterloo Dock Ling 330 Sir Edwin Landseer Ling 400 Honest Broker Ling 430 Mr Plod Ling 500 Royal Acclamation
  16. Nice work Frankie
  17. Balls!!! And I was doing so well up till then
  18. Er... you can forget Cerium... You can also stick a line through State of Play, Ballyfitz and Mr Pointment. I'm off to Barbados if any of those 4 win. Cerium is better in the weights this year compared to last. Trainer also has Mr Pointment who has similar profile to Cerium from last year... i.e. bought out of the Nicholls yard, allowed to drop about a stone - difference with Mr P is that he has won over the national fences previously. If you can allow yourself to forget the recent form and take him on his form of 2 years ago he has big place claims.
  19. Southwell 5.20 Granakey Slow day. Roll on Aintree.
  20. Nice one Chris! Clearly Chance Du Roy does not read the forum and was not aware of the weight of expectation. Didn't think we had much chance with a circuit to go, nice ride from Tad.
  21. Not much on offer today. Ludlow 4.00 - (no) Chance Du Roy - on zee schnozz
  22. Pimpey will have this inserted above their badge to celebrate their season
  23. Stanstill was well backed throughout the day. Still a reasonable day though.
  24. Hereford going could be desperate today. Good luck.
  25. 4.00 Southwell - Lucky Punt
