  1. …and those swapped out players would walk into our first team.
  2. I don’t agree with the decision either but I have some sympathy for checking the Archer offside first as that would’ve been objective rather than the subjective world of pain they had to go to with the Armstrong decision.
  3. Don’t loaded questions piss you off too? He deals with them in his way, which is not for everyone but hardly worthy of note.
  4. I’ve a hazy memory of the flag going up late rather than immediately after the ball was in the net. The sooner they open up access to the communications between ref, lino, 4th and Stockley Park the better.
  5. Did you not get the invite? Fuck knows how that happened.
  6. What’s your excuse then? I’m so funny, it hurts 😂 Awaits predictable response / emoji
  7. Haha. Anything that takes 6 minutes to decide is clearly not obvious. Anyway, improved performance in the 2nd half. Lost count the number of times Dibling was fouled, what a class act he was, unplayable.
  8. NOT CLEAR and NOT FUCKING OBVIOUS. FUCK OFF.
  9. The Long Man brewery tour is the best around 👍
  10. Fuck it. Took the day off - it’s my birthday after all, been in the pub since 1, warming up nicely. Bit of Chinese in a bit before heading to the ground. Low expectations, limited hope but it’s football… and it can be a funny old game at times. Up the fucking Saints! Oh, stick to the Harveys Best, the rest is piss.
  11. There's a difference between change and tweaking and adapting. I could be wrong but I read change as being wholesale, in this instance a move away from dominating the ball. You can still have the principle of retaining possession and dominating the ball whilst tweaking and adapting within that philosophy - hopefully with the effect of becoming a lot bloody better at it. Semantics, I know, and I'm also guessing but so is everyone else when it comes to predicting the future.
  12. You say that as if you know exactly how Redknapp and Dyche adapted AND you know the type of manager Martin will be in a years time, truth is no one does know. You can make an assumption based on what's happened thus far but to say that's how things will always be is a stretch.
  13. Re-read my post, I wasn’t comparing RM with any of the managers.
  14. Which he clearly wasn’t.
  15. Do one! No space in the Martinettes for any Maggie Come Lately 😂😇
  16. Hate is such a strong word, especially when it's based upon a perceived opinion - not saying the opinion is wrong - but it could be and so to go balls deep in hating someone strikes me as peculiar and often seems to reveal more about the person harbouring that sentiment than about the individual it's directed toward.
  17. The following managers have all been relegated in their careers: Wenger, Klopp, Conte, Benitez. Benitez actually managing it twice, although his second one at Newcastle maybe forgiven due to the basket case that club was. Now, don't be fooled into thinking I'm comparing Russell with any of those titans (only Conte would feasibly be banging a glamour model) but what is fair to say is that just because you manage a club that is relegated doesn't mean you're a bad manager or that you won't go on to being a very successful manager given the right circumstances. Countering this point is that obviously Redkrack took us down, I jest, Harry - love him or hate him - was a good manager despite what we all think of him. Another manager, Dyche, won promotion with Burnley in his first full season, relegated the next before bouncing back as Champions of the Championship. Sometimes, if circumstances allow, it's worth sticking with the manager - unfortunately only hindsight will truly tell us if that's the right option or not.
  18. Who are these posters and where are their posts that suggest Martin walks on water? Don’t worry, it was a rhetorical question, everyone knows said posters don’t exist. Some posters see some balance in where we are and what is achievable, they have every right to hold that opinion.
  19. I think the tipping point was Pinder.... when that bombshell dropped the recycle bins of the city were chockfull of crusty lads mags 😂
  20. I guess I should respond along the lines of; what are you talking about? But that might suggest I'm keen to understand whatever point you're attempting to make.
  21. Curious as to why you take this stance with Farmer and not the many posters who respond with remarkable consistency by turning every point raised for discussion into a “the manager’s shit” post etc etc. It may well be the case, of course, the opinion is the right of the poster but as you’re positioning yourself as some guardian over repetition then maybe there are others who could do with your help 😉
  22. I think the club’s win bonus budget might disagree 😂
  23. Ferguson probably is available for a loan, I think Enciso is getting minutes in the 21s so a loan move could be on the cards as well. Our current loanees are not having any impact. More so Cornet, if we can return him to open up a spot then we have to do that. Lesley I was hopeful for but from what I’ve seen he doesn’t offer much more than Shea. It would be tempting to return Lesley and bring Shea back, no idea if the agreements would allow such a thing to happen.
  24. The bus can be a fucker as well if you miss the first tranche of buses. Take your time, have a post match beer whilst the others try and beat the rush.
