Not as strong as the lineup in the league match.
-
Poor attempt at stopping Trent strolling out giving him the freedom of our midfield. Jan knows he got it wrong. Macca slip was the cherry on the top. Gift wrapped with love.
-
Gifted them the first goal. Er, no. Liverpool played a very obvious 4-3-3 as they normally do.
-
Let them loose after the break or after being 2-0 down? Containment was key, we shot ourselves in the foot as per usual and then had little choice but to go for it. If we had gone into the break at 0-0 I don’t know for sure but I’d have thought more of the same in the 2nd half would’ve been the call.

What’s your point? Unless you’re applying for the role of arbiter of where to draw line on whether an insult is worthy of responding with a bit of anger or not.
-
Martin was Wilcox’s choice, whether that gave Rasmus a raging hard on, semi or left him limp I couldn’t possibly say.
-
Lol, hero worshipped… move on sweetheart
-
lol, you’re obsessed with Martin
-
Whilst ignoring the first half?
-
Well you did call me a hypocrite, think I’m within my rights to be a pissed off with that.
-
Fuck me, fact > fiction. You do see the argument here, right? Maybe you could do a trousers and review my last few months of posts. I’m a fan of possession based football, that is not a unique philosophy adopted by Martin.
-
Trent and Mac Allister I’ll give you but the rest are not starters when others are available: Luis Diaz > Gakpo, Allison > Kelleher, Djoto > Shit Andy Carroll, Salah > Elliot

The ironic cheers of the ball being launched from the back was embarrassing. Archer’s goal was really well taken but it’s not as though our play up to that point suggested we were going to score or “deserved” to be a goal to the good.
-
Everyone has had opinions on the last 18 months. So what? My objective point still stands. It was a second XI selected by Liverpool last night.
-
Well now you’ve just made something up to counter an objective observation 😉🙄
-
Reserve team, trousers, read it again 😉🙄
-
Who is good enough and will come to us?
-
We were comfortably beaten by Liverpool reserves last night whilst launching it from the back. Too much has been placed on style or philosophy, there’s only so much any manager can do when dealing with a significant gap in quality of the squad.
-
We had a much better game in the league against them, against a much stronger line up but other than that you’re spot on
-
Really poor first half, more urgency in the second. The gulf in quality between our first team and the mickeys reserve team says all you need to know.
-
It really hasn’t.
-
The other more obvious reason is we’re playing a 5-4-1 with a massive gap between the midfield and attack. Good luck pressing with that.
