Now I know you are having a giraffe, that won't happen till we get back to the premiership, expect around 12,000 which will be good for this level of football. As for the rest of your comments I won't even go there.
-
I logged on, got the info, phoned and renewed my season ticket and bought a new one as well, all within about 10 minutes, don't see what the problem is ffs. Btw our attendences will be higher this coming season when we walk this league
-
Really? I watched a programme where it said this ball has been designed only for this world cup. How Germany could of played with it would stink of favourtism.
-
Time will tell, I don't need renewal notice as i know when the season is over but I see your point. I do think it is an own goal though when you can't have half season tickets, some are not sure so if we start of well then a lot might take this option normally but cannot now.

I have never had a problem with online ordering, I am in SA at the moment but when I get back will order mine online, should take about a day or two, no more hopefully.
-
I understand where you are coming from but we like other clubs need the support through the good times as well as the bad ones, yes the last few years haven't been good but some of us have stuck it out, I have not stopped buying tickets for this reason, remember saints is for life not just the premiership.
-
You have clearly missed the point I was trying to make, the idea of selling season tickets is to ensure bums are secure on seats, if you charge an extra £2 on normal tickets it would make the season ticket look more attractive in the terms of price, wouldn't you agree? Most walk up fans will do 15+ games a season so times that by about £25 will mean it's more attractive to buy the season ticket in the first place. Anyway I'm done for this discussion, I enjoy what we have now and long may it continue.

Some people only have electric and not gas so can work out for themselves the best offers in the same way some can also work out dual deals. I have a season ticket at SMS as it is cheaper than buying individual tickets. I just need to find an alternative to petrol prices without actually buying an electric car
-
Why don't we just enjoy the ride, let's not speculate but be thankful we have owners who are pushing our club in the right direction. If there is a problem in the future then we can discuss it then but until then I for one am grateful for the whiff of fresh air and new life we have.
-
Maybe they are trying to encourage more season ticket holders, that way people will not have to pay the £2 booking fee and selling season tickets to more people will in fact have a negative equity. Food and drink prices won't rise that much, probably in line with inflation but by increasing a lot will mean more will use the outside bars. There is no other evidence they are trying to increase revenue for next season, more to the fact they are customer based, I disagree with the booking fee but I am a season ticket holder anyway, the only thing that will affect me is I won't brigng many other supporters down.
-
I think shirt sales go in line with ticket sales, in the premiership we had 24,000 season ticket holders, we have half that now. I guess we will sell quite a few shirt sells this season but not quite the same as then. As we become more successful then we will sell more, not just shirts but tickets as well. remember some people only want to support something that is successful and that is when we have to pay more. People like me will support through thick and thin, some don't, we all want success and I am sure the new owners do as well, let's just enjoy it.

Hey don't get me wrong, I don't care if they are in it to make money, it's business ffs but what you are talking about in response tio sponsership is purely speculation, you have no ground proof that we will make up in the loss of this money through other methods, if it happens great, if it don't then the owners will be proved to be doing a great job for the fans and not worried about lining their pockets.
-
In what way? There is no proof yet that shirt sales will exceed other seasons and we are not guaranteed a place in the championship after this current next season so no way will we be able to negotiate a better deal? Everything is speculative, yes they will do things based on business but they have to hope that the business works in the first place. Us getting promoted will stand us in better stance but we have to get there first, if we don't succeed then we won't get what you are assuming we will get.
-
But you cannot guarantee these figures so its only a personal opinion on your part. Remember people used to pay by credit arrangements over the last several years, how many of them won't be renewing this season because they now cannot afford it? We don't know what the season ticket sales are so we might even be running at less than last season. Also last season there was a booking fee if done over the phone so the only difference is those booking online who will now pay a fee. I have mentioned before that I quite often bring a few 'other' supporters down for footie but a lot of these won't be coming because of this new booking fee. Money lost by the club not just through ticket sales but through merchandising as well. As you said you can mess around with with revenue streams but you can also come out as a loss.
-
Have to agree the footie has been crap although I would imagine it will get better as the tournament gets to the latter stages.. On a lighter note we have had aftergame talk with the likes of Paul Ince and Dwight Yorke, I could think of better commentators lol.
-
Well that is in your personal opinion and because you work in sponsorship doesn't mean you know the minds of ML or NC, they have turned down mega bucks imo to speak to the fans, There is no way they can make up in the shortfall just by getting us promoted to the championship as this cannot be guaranteed, we have to get there next season by winning, we are not invited. By the way how do we make up the extra revenue streams in other areas, I am at a loss to see what more they can do as opposed to last season.
-
It didn't affect us last time in the premiership, we got more support as the seasons moved on so pricing wasn't an obstacle, people will always find a way to follow their club. Yes it will be more costly to support your team in the higher leagues but that is the price of success, like it or not prices will be higher. Just look at the top 4 in the premiership, not cheap by all means but they have the support.
-
Whilst I have no facts about shirt sales I don't think we will sell too many more than we would normally sell, people are creatures of habit and most will buy because they do, a bit like me Btw we have had one year shirt sales fairly recently and that didn't do us any good then.
-
Excellent point and well done for posting it, this surely shows what the owners are doing for the club. Sponsorship pays a large amount of expected debt before known figures, they have actually turned down money to let the fans rejoice a special moment in our history. Yes they are businessmen but they are actually fan based rather than profit based imo.
-
That's one way of looking at it but we all aspire to winning something, pricing doesn't affect me but I can see your point.

The "Lamberts off" rumours are doing the rounds again

Well the strikers they got didn't help them to the promised land did it , and your nailed on fact is just pure speculation as you know as much as me and that's feck all. I see your location is how you dream -
I don't think so, I read somewhere that the new owners bought the club and paid off the debt with no strings attached, ie we will not be in debt should something drastic happen although not suggesting something is about to happen. You can only pay off a debt if you have money in the first place, to suggest his money is tied up in other areas would mean he wouldn't of managed to buy or rescue us in the first place.
-
I guess the new owners invested a lot of money bailing us out and knowing it will be some years before they see a return let alone a profit. If they wanted to make a quick buck they could of picked a premiership (or whatever its called at the mo) club rather than some old division 3 club. Lets enjoy the ride and see where it takes us, I for one am not fretting on them doing a quick runner.
-
I don't disagree with what you are saying but the crowds only got bigger towards the end of our time in the premier league. 40 - 45,000 as has been muted sounds about right to me, we don't have the population to get any more really. Let's not have a stadium which is tooo big for us, bad enough we can't fill the current one on most days and I know division 3 is not the best scenario but Leeds and Norwich showed last season how to put bums on seats in this league. Maybe time will tell.

Made me laugh as well, probably the same person selling the Lambert shirts
