Some very good points on here from all but was he a great player? Everybody has an opinion I suppose but he wasn't a brilliant player imo, he was a good passer of the ball, scored the odd good goal, took an occasional good free kick but great? He couldn't tackle or dribble that well I know that. Shall we compare him to a certain Le god?

A bit odd - shades of Whacko Jacko?
saintwarwick replied to bridge too far's topic in General Sports
Does seem odd, why the need to hide who the mother is? Why the secrecy? Btw when I saw the thread title I thought it was about me lol, my old nickname in the army. -
We all have a liking, yes it does seem like a posh sport in this country but we are not forced to watch so just give a wide berth if it don't agree with your liking of the sport.
-
Yip and you added to it
-
I bow to your knowledge, I will suggest our gates will be very much higher in the first 5 games if not more, I have posted on here those gates, please keep these figures in mind when debating in the future.
-
But how many of those 15/16 actually played last season? Not too many but I agree we do need some new faces in. Let's not panic as we still have lot's of time and we will see new faces.
-
Yep definately confused and still trying to find the post where you mentioned home fans only. If you are a regulatr like me at St Marys you will see the away fans do not bring many fans but if you wan't real answers on home support just sit there and count the fans, other than that we will be supported more this season as we get better, it:s a no brainer the more successful you are the better the support will be.
-
So are you suggesting we haven't singled any players out? One player escapes because AP was obviously not interested or maybe who he has signed for might just be in a higher league? As you say real footballers go on holiday and I would suggest 99.9999% are still there. If you know so much about the player please enlighten me as I am struggling to know much about him, then again AP didn't sign him so he must know something about him as well
-
Which one would we prefer?
-
I'd rather be happy clappy than a miserable old git like you, Cortese hasn't shafted us more like trying to run a business, one we so nearly didn't have a year ago, remember? Yes some things could have been handled better but you need to have a grip on reality, wake up and see if what we had a year ago was any beter.
-
Ha ha have to laugh at this, I suggest you read all of this thread to realise what we are debating and all I did is give an answer to a question asked, I suggest you bang your head if you cannot except an answer which doesn't fit your liking.
-
And your quote that only home fans count? I replied to you about fans we have, prove me wrong next season if this proves to be less than the last season.
-
No they don't slick, this is the recognised attendances on matchdays including away fans. Are you telling me the skates (31,385 gate of 32,500) didn't have the full allocation they were entitled to in our cup game. ie 15% of what they are entitled to, 4,800? This shows the full attendance including away fans.
-
Rovers never did sell the full allocation and all I was doing was giving the the attendances for our first 5 fixtures as what was requested.
-
In comparison to what, last season? Ok then jot this down and then compare sometime in September after 5 games: Millwall, 20,101 Brentford: 19,169 Colchester, 17,070 Yeovil, 19,907 Bristol Rovers, 19,724 This hasn't included cup games
-
None as far as I know but if you have other figures please feel free to let us all know
-
Well done super duper fan, don't blame delldays because he is serving in the forces, maybe you should try it and then be respected, until then don't think he will get priority over tickets. He is a fan like the rest of us but also hasn't a problem with how the membership works. Perhaps you should work out what he was saying in the first place, we won't sell out on games but only when we get to places like wembley will people like you be in meltdown.
-
I don't live in Southampton, I live 125 miles away but have no problem with finding out information, I am sensible and would prefer to find out information from all other means rather than rely on a letter. This has nothing to do with NC, perhaps you should try it, you are afterall online
-
I sorted mine before my holiday, it wasn't very difficult at all and without a reminder in the post, hth.
-
Absolutely agree, why can people not understand that you are not forced to buy and all other clubs adopt a policy of club membership. Funny how those moaning about this are the same ones as those moaning about season tickets
-
I can't believe some of the posts on here, in this day and age it's not difficult to find out information whether it's online, via phone or just for being sensible in the knowledge knowing the season finishes in May and starts again in August. I agree about the installment plan being removed being a bad move but other than that the club have done nothing wrong. People are complaining about not receiving anything in the post, how many things get lost in the post in the first place? How many people were moaning about tickets sent out for our paints trophy final and were panicking because they had not received them. Get a life people ffs. Btw I see it as the club know we are hot favourites to win this league so it will be cheaper for you to get your season ticket in now otherwise you will be paying more over the course of the season because we will undoubtably sell more tickets as the season progresses.
-
Really, please remind me when because I am struggling to remember his name let alone what he might have done, if he was one of the best midfielders why has he not been snapped by other clubs?
-
Never heard of him, I won't miss what we don't have and I am sure Ap has his targets, we can't sign everybody ffs.

Stu, I don't agree or disagree with what you are saying, it didn't take me long to work out what to do though. 17-20k is an over estimation imo but who knows? Yes some things could of been better and dealt with better but these people are new to this I would of thought, let them do it their way and maybe learn from it. Btw I was always in agreement with the payment plan because it helped those who could not pay up front but I don't think it will affect attendances that much. Some good points though.
