OS squad updated - new squad numbers
saintwarwick replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Now all we need is for him to get on the pitch for a few games.... -
The thread was about Burley AND Boyd so opinions should be about both and not selective as in your case.
-
I got over it in January and don't really give a toss what he is doing now or who with, it appears others (you inclusive) really love him that much you have to start a thread about the bloke after each game that doesn't feature a win
-
Or confirmed that statement, hth.
-
I read it perfectly, perhaps you need lessons in posting correctly.
-
How about replying to the rest of the post which give the real facts. These are the real facts which you NEVER answer to. Hypocrite? Look in the mirror.
-
Please feel free to rattle them off As for Owen he is not injured and is playing for the first team and scoring unlike Boyd. Boyd threw his dummy out of the pram because he did not play against Norway, Owen kept his head after being dropped from the English squad without a place on the bench even though he is not injured.

In case you missed it alpine said we were riding high before the takeover, I posted the nine years league positions before and after Lowe took over to show whether we were riding high as he quoted against what we achieved when he came to power. If you are bemused then you must find it difficult to read facts as I posted.
-
Please see your post above as you initially started out, riding high, media attention, Lowe did this this and it's been downhill ever since. My 'FACTS' which you have ignored show we did better since Lowe arrived than when you posted as "it's been downhill ever since". Good to see you diverted from the real stats and carried on from your initial false account of your original post.
-
Careful you might get ambushed for providing real facts.
-
So you would pick a bloke who cannot get a game for his club side over a player who is in the goals (8 so far this season). I suppose Fabio Capello would be a waste as a manager for us then considering there was no room in the team let alone the bench for Michael Owen, 40 goals in 89 matches. At least Owen didn't throw his dummy out of the pram.
-
It wasn't Lowe that sanctioned the spending spree that ultimately led us to the financial crisis we are now facing. Remember he was replaced by the Wilkde bunch who went on the spending spree.
-
Here is a few comparisons for you based on the nine years pre Lowe and the nine years post Lowe: Pre: 12th, 13th, 7th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 18th, 10th, 17th. Post: 16th, 12th, 17th, 15th, 10th, 11th, 8th, 12th, relegation. Our last four years before relegation we had an average position of 10th place (including a cup final) whereas the last four years before Lowe took over we had an average position of 16th place. Riding high yes but under Lowe, downhill yes but only since relegation.

3-1 against City with Phillips (2) and Beattie the scorers. 4-1 against Wolves with Phillips (2), Beattie and Claus (I was there) the scorers.
-
Didn't exactly slag him of did he. He just reacted to comments made by Boyd who was doing the slagging of.
-
The only manager in the history of the game to play a player out of position, play a lone striker up front and upset a player who cannot get a game for his club let alone for his national team. What is the world coming to and what is this fixation with Burley that people still post on this main board.
-
You do that so well but whinge when you think others do it. How about answering some of the questions asked instead of body swerving them. But then again you cannot answer them as it would mean backtracking and you don't want to be proved wrong do you.
-
Fully agree with this.
-
There, I've corrected it for you.
-
Except the C of E.
-
The only player that could up the gates is if MLT came out of retirement, other than that the only other way gates would increase is if we put a decent run together and moved into the play off places.
-
A left back.

Would love to do a cruise but my wife hates the sea, ocean etc and won't even think about a cruise. Even talking to members of the family and friends who have cruised nothing will sway her so I will have to live with the fact I will never do a cruise. Sounds like you had a brilliant time.
-
It's now £102.9 around here after the latest reduction but I agree with you, they are just robbing bastards quick enough to raise the price at the sniff of an increase but fail to reduce quickly when the price comes down.

Ted Bates will be turning in his grave to know we have saints fans like you. FWIW if we went into administration (and I firmly believe we will not this season) what makes you so sure Lowe will go as well, the chances are, should it happen is he will still be here. Still happy?
