Alpine does not answer questions when challenged, I have asked a few in the past but the only response I got was ZZZ smilies (:smt015). His reply to you was to question you on your retention of information he has posted over the last 18 months, information he clearly has failed to retain as he has been unable to answer these questions again, basically sidestepping the issue to avoid answering the questions in the first place. The answers he should be posting are he has never met any of the above mentioned and he has attended so very few games to judge on their overall managerial abilities, that is not to say that he cannot judge on what he has seen.

That would go with any manager should you get relegated/fail dismally. Had we stayed up he would have been the flavour of the season but relegation and the link to them down the road leaves a bitter taste in the mouth to most. Saying that he has done a decent job at all the other places he has been at, just failed with us.

Whilst I would agree with you on this surely it is up to the player to decide on playing or retiring.

I'm sure he has done it for football reasons and to repay the club and fans for lost years out injured, certainly not for financial gain.

Nothing to do with that but more to do with going for the cheaper option. Letting Pearson go will not come back to bite us although I would of liked him to do a full season for us. Still lets judge him in this league should he get promoted from league one than what he is doing now with a rich chairman.

Did he have an annual salary paid pro rata or did he have a short term contract which would have seemed less in comparison to an annual salary?

1. Did a reasonable job for us with 3 wins in 13 games, (JP has 3 wins in 10 league games, 5 in 13 if you include cup games). Time will tell to see if he turns out to be premier class. 2. No financial savings were made as NP was not on a contract after his short term contract was up at the end of the season. JP and Wotte were the cheaper alternative for the new contract if NP was also in the frame. 3. Agreed. 4. He managed only 3 wins in 13 games with experienced players, not too sure he would be 15/20 points better of with the same squad as JP has at the moment and would probably be in the same position as JP is now, imo. 5. Nothing to do with this but more to do with the gloomy economy what with the FTSE dropping below the 5000 mark. Shares across the board are struggling.

Calm down Colin we didn't die, we just got relegated, something that has happened in the past. Fans will be less likely to buy tickets in a lower league for a team of our size. We lost 10,000 season ticket holders when we got relegated but when the Wilde bunch took over there was no reversal in those figures contrary to popular belief to the Lowe out brigade.
