So when I wake up in the morning and see a strange body on the sofa.......

I doubt that, even when they were down in the lower leagues they still had better crowds than we had.

Greatest sporting achievement of all time?
saintwarwick replied to doublesaint's topic in General Sports
I have tried kayaking and rowing and they are very physical and demanding sports. I have and do play golf and it is certainly a lot easier than kayaking and rowing and that is fact. There are a lot more golfers in sport than kayakers hence your opinions shared by millions but as I pointed out kayaking is a minority sport, perhaps you should try it before passing judgment. If your opinion was based on facts, statistics, records, wins etc then surely Jack Nicklaus would be top of the pile end of. -
Maybe he should use a smilie then My choice for a pint or ten is after the game when I get home

Correct, I've only been a season ticket holder for years even through the bad years just gone but not a real fan

I should point out that Kayaking is a minority sport that is why Richard Fox isn't mentioned, those of us that know anything about any sport will know these athletes do exist and understand the levels of fitness they require to fulfill their ambitions just like Woods in golf. Perhaps you should watch these other sports to understand them before passing judgment. -
I had a choice of doing a 250 mile round trip for a friendly or watch Hampshire in a cup final, it was a no brainer really.

Exactly on your point of Richard Fox in Kayaking, something you have admitted you know nothing about yet seem to think golfers have to be superbly fit unlike other sports such as this one. You even had the cheek to say Steven Redgrave relied on others to achieve what he did, does that mean he did not have to train but leave it to the others he relied on? Maybe as a golfer you should try these other sports and find out for yourself how 'easy' life is in any sport away from golf. -
Or save it later for a money spinning story in a tabloid?

Once Bitterne will be happy

Me as well although I'm down to a choice between two.

Would you contain yourself if someone slagged of your partner in a horrible disgusting way? Not saying it happened to Gerrard as we don't know the full story and never will but just asking the question as to your reactions.
-
As Thedelldays said they are both equally as bad.

Maybe the DJ said something to SG to make him react in the way he did, who knows?

Schhhh, don't hide the truth.

Sometimes you speak sense but you are out of order with this post, sort yourself out. -
I disagree, I hate millions of pounds being wasted on 'easy targets' as you call them, they are lazy scrounging tossers.
-
Good effort? I'd give it a brilliant effort and to beat the current olympic champion Matt Mitchum and pre tournament favourite Qiu Bo at the age of 15 is amazing. Was only an outside chance for a medal before the tournament started so the boy done well.
