Saints Greatest XI - Your Views and Opinions
saintwarwick replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
MLT can replace Ball, Case or Williams, it's a no brainer and if you asked these three players they would agree as well. -
Well the opposition won't be expecting it so best time to try it. Thing is will Wotte stick with a 4-1-2-1-2 or change to a 4-5-1 as it's an away game.
-
I'm sorry but Smith is sh1te. I'd sooner play BWP on the right.

You could try football league highlights on Sky tomorrow at 6.00pm (repeated 11.00pm, 3.00am Tuesday, 9.30am Tuesday and 2.30pm Tuesday). Don't know if it will be shown but I have set my Sky+ to find out.

A couple of weeks ago I was showing my negative side  but I am now back to my positive side so yes we will stay up

This one I had a clear view as it was directly in front of me and was a penalty. He was definately tripped but it looked like he overreacted when going down and maybe looked like a dive to the ref.

Agree with this, you look for trouble then expect to get hurt although I don't wish for people to be hospitilised in this way. -

Great news and good to see the huddle at the end of the game as well. To me Skacel looked a much more relaxed player and he seemed to enjoy himself and was geeing up the youngsters.
-
Just seen the clip on youtube and the reason I didn't see it is I sit in Itchen near to Chapel, I can see why you were wincing

Drew said on the radio he is second choice penalty taker behind McGoldrick, incidently Size is third choice.
-
Like the foul on Saganowski in the second half , I didn't see the Perry incident was it in the second half?
-
I think the role Mcgoldrick played meant he had to run around more and that is why he ran out of steam.
-
I misinterpreted your post. Haven't they won their last two games?
-
4th bottom in that list.
-
He put it back on for the huddle at the end before they all disappeared down the tunnel.
-
Agreed a fantastic save and when you get a standing ovation for a save it must be special.
-
I think he was confused because all the other saints players were behind him when normally they would be in front of him.

Don't disagree with those marks. Davis controlled his box well and had two brilliant saves in the space of a minute, the second world class. Best goalie in the championship. James is getting better with each game but I think right midfielder will be his best position in the future. Size and Perry have formed a very good partnership at the back and both looked very solid with Size winning everything in the air and Perry tidying up very effectively. Skacel looked very good going forward and was geeing up the lads at the start of the second half. Gillett had an excellent game and seems suited to the holding role, just some of his passes seem to go wild. Thought Lallana and Surman worked well especially in the first half although Surman seemed to tire in the second half. McGoldrick worked very hard in his "new" position and wasn't afraid to chase every ball although he tired late on in the game due to his extra workrate required in this new position. Took the penalty well and was definately up for it. Saganowski had several chances today which on another day would of seen him on the score sheet. Euell whilst not pretty was also very effective and held the ball up well and managing to turn his marker on several occasions, had one cracking shot in the first half which went straight down the goalies throat, had it been to the left or right of the goalie he would not have seen it. Well done to Mark Wotte as well for keeping the same team as last week and getting them to play as a team with new found confidence. Finally, the fans were excellent again today and we seem to get noisier as the weeks go by, this is surely the twelth man on the pitch.

Looked a penalty to me, I was directly in line and Saganowski was definately fouled but the ref immediately said no penalty.

17,000 sold up to yesterday  Anyway of to the game now to add to the figure.

Looks like alpine got out of the wrong side of the bed AGAIN. As for the same old crap, have a look at yourself. I won't even mention ST holders or opinions as you seem to have one which you think is better

I took this theory into account as I was going to predict 19,425
