  1. Funny kick of time wasn't it? 5.15pm or something like that and not too sure utd sold their full allocation (15%)
  2. It was the Grey one. Why they couldn't admit that they were beaten by the better team rather than that excuse is beyond me.
  3. A draw and a win at OT.
  4. Perhaps he thinks it's cool to do so.
  5. The FA don't get anything unless it is a replay. Gate receipts as follows: 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th round both clubs get 45% with 10% going to the cup pool. If a replay is required then the clubs get 42.5%, 10% to the cup pool and 5% to the FA. There are bills to be paid out of the gate receipts before the final amount is distributed such as VAT, travelling expenses of the travelling club, the fees and expenses of the match officials, police, first aiders, match day workers ie stewards etc, floodlighting. Other potential money to be earned is as follows: £75k to the winners of the tie. £160k for a live broadcast whether on ITV ot Sultana. £80k for a live replay broadcast. £7.5k for highlights. £9k for a full match on BBC radio. £4.5k for half a match on BBC radio. £2.25k for a quarter match on BBC radio.
  6. Arsenal in the fourth round would be nice...
  7. Good shout, is he a striker that scores goals....
  8. Think positive, we are not in the relegation places
  9. A good money earner though!
  10. Correct, the idea was to put more money into the taxpayers pocket through tax cuts and to recoup that through higher taxation on luxury goods, what it meant was that the taxpayer had the choice of whether they spent that extra revenue or kept it. Good choice imo.
  11. Just pure laziness, it takes a couple of seconds to wash out a tin. If you got to ram it in a bin what's difficult about ramming it into a recycling bin? FWIW I have a Green wheelie bin for garden waste, a Grey wheelie bin for non recyclable waste, two red boxes for newspapers and tins and three bags for glass, cardboard and plastic. I also have a compost bin in the garden which in turn helps provide me with home grown vegetables etc.
  12. Correct not local, live in Warwick. Car not ready until 6 and no way will I make it on time. You need 2 1/2-3 hours this time of night to get to SMS. the man at the garage said the car would be ready for 4 oclock, fuming.
  13. Ouch.
  14. Well I have just found out my car is still not ready at the garage so it looks like I will miss this game. Last game I missed was Norwich, we won that one.
  15. I hope this is true. Getting rid of the high earners should be the priority and keep the youngsters at least till the end of the season.
  16. I know but we still have it to look forward to.
  17. I didn't mention anything about employing extra people to prevent fraudulent claims, I merely pointed out what an MP can accrue without providing receipts. 350 miles may be nothing in your eyes but £1680.00 a year is a lot of money to a lot of people who do not have this privilage of claiming mileage allowance. I noticed Janet Anderson, labour MP for Rossendale and Darwen travelled almost 35,000 miles last year to claim her £13,851.00 mileage allowance, that's a lot of driving!
  18. Also in 12 months time we will have another budget with another hike in tobacco, alcohol and fuel duty, then two months later VAT will go back up to 17.5% followed by the NI contribution increase. Plenty to look forward to.
  19. http://www.emmerson-hill.co.uk/downloads/Mileage_rates.pdf I found this, that's where I got my info from. Go to the bottom of the page and it show's you the figure of 350 miles per month without providing receipts. going by that reckoning if an MP claimed £1000.00 a month travel expenses he will only have to provide £860.00 in receipts.
  20. This I agree with, the only way to help the poor or not so well of is cutting income tax, vat won't help many unless they are buying luxury items. Many people will not notice it at all with normal everyday shopping (except people who eat a lot of crisps, biscuits chocolate etc)
  21. Good to see MPs are allowed to claim £140.00 per month motoring expenses without having to provide receipts
  22. I doubt it, Friday is takeover day.
  23. This has nothing to do with 'I'm a better fan than you' it's to do with whether you attend sms to watch your beloved team no matter who is running the club. Some on here would rather throw money at other clubs rather than their own club despite our financial predicament and these fans wonder why we are in this mess in the first place. Remember the financial results are from the last year of trading when Lowe wasn't at the helm.
  24. I don't think MP's and their expenses would agree with this....
  25. On a messageboard yes, why don't you answer the question 'you don't go to home games so why do you need this info?'
