  1. There was talk in another thread about people buying tickets knowing that they can't go to the game tomorrow. As there is a "bunfight" going on in that thread, at Trousers' suggestion, I am starting a new one to make this suggestion. I have the name and email address of someone in the Saints in the Community department at the club who is arranging for my tickets to go to a school for underprivileged children. If you are interested in doing the same with your tickets, PM me. Doesn't matter if you have already bought them, if they are at the Ticket Office, they will be able to use them.
  2. This may get lost in the arguments but back to the earlier point about people buying tickets but they can't go to the game. I have spoken to the club and have the name and email address of someone in the Saints in the Community dept who can arrange for the tickets to go to a school for underprivileged children. PM me and I will pass on his name. Might as well let the tickets be used.
  3. I had the thought earlier in the week to buy some tickets and donate them. I had an email from someone at the club this morning to say the Saints in the Community department had identified some people to donate the tickets to. I will be speaking to them shortly - I will ask how many more they could donate. PM if interested.
  4. Why? That's if we don't get a creditor's agreement to come out of administration. We're not there yet.
  5. Didn't the FL say to SLH that there would be no points deduction if only SLH went into administration? But, typical of football authorities, they make the rules up as they go along. Bullied by other clubs? In the great scheme of things, its a relatively minor point. Far more important is finding a buyer. Anyone that has been looking will have been planning on the basis that we would likely be in League One next season - now they know for sure. Growing up just outside Yeovil, I never thought they would ever play Saints in a league game - guess the Glovers can still get relegated themselves or we could drop out of the league completely.
  6. Derry - I think you are on the right track here and I admire you pushing forward despite all the abuse that is thrown around. Yes, this is a long shot (whatever happened to him/her?) but if there is no credible bid, it's better to try than just give up. Also, I understand the antipathy (probably not strong enough word for some) toward the Trust but these are desperate times. Like him or not, Nick Illingsworth is seen as a spokesman by the media, asking him to take a back seat now may not help get the needed publicity. Here's hoping our mysterious billionaire is about to be revealed...
  7. I find myself surprisingly calm and relaxed about our fate. I listened to the last 30 minutes of the game. Turned it off at the end just resigned. Hopefully we will have a team next season, probably in League One (unless reformed, starting in the Hampshire League). Hopefully we will rebuild from there.
  8. That's maybe a little optimistic but you never know. GM - Congratulations, usually a thread like this has gone off the rails by now. Maybe it is all peace and love around here now.
  9. Maybe we should run a contest on how long it will take for an argument over new owners, presuming we do get some! How about on the first day they are announced, someone will be at loggerheads with another poster.
  10. Well, lets see, all the fans could unite and stop arguing as to who is to blame. Saint Robbie believes we have, I am not so convinced but he is closer to the action, so I will defer to him. Don't think I suggested the thread was going to stop an Indian billionaire or anyone else. Hmm...let me take another look at what I said.
  11. Clapham works for a firm of administrators. Probably resents the suggestions!
  12. Of course, you could argue that the pro-Lowes are no more vociferous than before and that the anti-Lowes are much more vociferous. Some even seeming to celebrate that he is gone even while that could mean the end of the club. Surely the time to argue the pros and cons is once the fate of the club is known? Now is the time to pull together. Or is that too rational?
  13. Don't belong on here then!
  14. He may whinge a lot but who says he is not a fan?
  15. Phew!! Yet another home win!
  16. They just said Saints won on SaintsTV...
  17. "nervy and tense" - I would agree with that

  20. Yep, we've wasted too many chances again. Fear a Palace goal coming.

  23. A lively start by the sound of it...can we keep it going?
  24. Just get it working and the power goes out! Weather here is not as good as it was down the road in Augusta yesterday.
  25. I feel so much better now!
