Oh, its been talked about a lot in the States. Been boring everyone silly about it for weeks. Now they might understand what I was on about. Did Tim have anything to do with this? With regard to Paul Allen, I was in a meeting at one of his companies last Friday. Walked past the Paul Allen conference room but no sign of him, no sign of red and white striped shirts hanging on the wall.

This owing £2M to IR/HMRC has come up over the last day or so but WS says there is no problem. Where did the £2M rumour come from?

From what I've read, that is not the case. Stockport had the rug pulled out from under them by a creditor when they say they were on the verge of lining up new funds. Of course, that could be a smokescreen.

So you don't think the people behind the one bid lodged have the best interests of the club at heart yet you don't know the ins and outs just what is in the public domain. Most people have agreed nothing is in the public domain about that bid. People have put you forward as a known and respected poster but, to me, you are risking becoming another ITKer, in the long line of LLS, St David, etc.

Relax. People are having a reasonable discussion about a flawed process. Maybe it has taken us being hit with the deduction to wake up and realise that it is flawed. How could it be right to punish Luton in the way they were - new owners (and the fans) punished for the actions of previous owners. If any club owing tax money can't get an agreement to come out of administration, why do they all get punished further? Why should Stockport's deduction be this season when it has minimal affect on them? A sledgehammer to crack a nut of a couple of teams trying to exploit administration. In our case, the creditors will get less money because we are worth less as a team starting -10 than on zero - how is that fair on them? I don't think anyone wishes ill on Stockport, just sort out the mess the FL have made for themselves.

So, maybe the unknown consortium are not as silent as we think they are. Not sure what they gain by posting on here, after all, as has been said many times, a serious bidder should not be put off by a small group of forum posters. They can get confirmation of how people feel about certain issues - i.e. Lowe, MLT - but what else do they get?

I would agree with Stanley (never thought I would say that!) - particularly the email reply within an hour on a bank holiday when the guy is supposed to be working on a bid. No wonder they are behind the other group. Why is Modern Matron so upset with him - that seems to be a user name that pops up whenever there are takeover rumours or boardroom squabbles going on. I also agree with Dainty Dave that the other group is more professional because no one knows who anything about it. But then who is Dave? Finally, what happened to Derry? He has been quiet for a few days, hasn't he?

Wow! Something good has come out of this thread - I found another Saint in Georgia!

Trousers - I think he had one too many of those Bullfrogs or whatever he drinks in Dubai. Didn't do much myself either, just set the ball rolling. Then everyone else showed what great fans we have.

Derry - You are doing a great job. You have had a lot of criticism aimed in your direction and answered it fairly and squarely. Hopefully, we won't need the fans' rescue but the work you are doing is important. Maybe out of this will come good owners and a worthwhile, independent fans group that can speak for us if things don't go well at some point.

That thought did occur to me. Could it be deemed cruelty to children?

Kelly won't be there tomorrow but she mentioned Sarah Draper would be there. For those trying to call tonight, calling from overseas, etc, try using the customer number David Luker set up for this purpose to enable people to buy online - in earlier post. As to how they get all the tickets to the children, what school etc, I don't know! Started out with me buying a few tickets and snowballed. I am sure David and the others will figure it out - a nice problem to have! Once again, great job everyone get behind this.
