I cannot see Grimes signing a new contract if he was in the wings waiting for us unless he was told we were not interested. Surely he could have waited and signed a new contract in a few weeks time when no one else had come in for him?
-
When does the transfer window close ? tomorrow? Oh no we have nearly two weeks, why not be patient and have faith in the recruitment? Its different than before, we have been told there are players we are interested in coming once we clear spaces. Can't the meltdown wait until the window closes? Probably answered my own question though every transfer window is the same meltdowns 2 weeks before it closes π

Perhaps the club could pay the difference between the wage Everton are offering and what he was on here? No idea how much the figures are but must be cheaper than keeping him here?
-
Just happier that following losing JWP and the crap second team at least there is news of an incoming apparently rated midfielder.
-
I have always rated JWP very highly and will be very sad to see him go. Also to see him break the free kick record for another team. However if the Downes loan rumour is true this would make the day a bit brighter after seeing we do not have a decent second team following the Gillingham result.
-
Know what you mean but think they will be better for JWP next season and may not haggle with stupid bids
-
I will be sad to see him go as I think he has been unfairly underrated on this forum but personally I would rather he break the free kick goal scoring record for Spurs than Wet Spam. Shame he hasn't teamed up with Poch though as he played him in the best position.

Surely the COT has some idea who the new goalkeeper is?

I thought we wanted Β£50m ?

https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/liverpool/liverpool-lavia-thuram-transfer-news-private-plane-tracked-610934-20230717 Lavia due to fly to Liverpool training camp tonight ? Anybody on here at Southampton Airport ?

The press were gathering outside Staplewood about 15minutes ago so may be an announcement soon? They did look as if they were setting up to interview someone outside though?? (wrong side of the road for Harry's car unless he has gone LHD?)

I cannot recall what experience Rooney has of managing in the Premiership and avoiding relegation. He is also contracted and it would require a pay off so I think I will stick with Marsch the one with experience of both and will not cost to get him out of his contract. Of course we could go for Lampard and Gerrard, both sacked from premiership jobs (and of course could not work together π). All the other available managers have been sacked at one time or another so lets have someone who has knowledge of the way we played successfully under Ralph and has current premier league experience. Considering everything its a no brainer especially with his incentive to finish above Leeds.

Jones is gone onwards and upwards lets hope its not too late

Dipped into the usual transfer window rubbish. No one except the two clubs know what we are prepared to pay but I am sure there are other irons in the fire. Reading the last few pages in general the support on here for the team is shocking I even read someone wrote "I hope we go down". If people on here were a bit more patient and supportive some would not spout such utter crap. Unless any of you have billionaire or small country status the owners will do it their way and will not change despite the crap written here. I thought this was a transfer window forum could we not have a separate forum for the people slagging off the club, team and owners we are supposed to support. I will be supporting my team tonight and if it doesn't go our way I will not boo and further attack the teams confidence. COYS

Wow just popped in for a look and we aren't doing enough again, why don't people just whinge after the window instead of all the time?

Like what you did there gone from a back three to a four π

https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1141603654?-11205:798 Looks like Bednarek is a player in demand ! Being a "brick wall" that could be a reason for his immobility π
-
Even if he isn't in the right frame he should travel so either Leicester can buy him or they can collect him from Aston Villa. With a spare seat on the way home we could take Fofana to Stamford Bridge and collect Chalobah saving money on all these blacked out people carriers π
-
Something could be imminent as when I went past Staplewood about 1145 today 3 people carriers with blacked out windows went into Staplewood and the gates were shut very quickly and before you could see anyone alight. Just hoping this is good news ππ. ( Sorry for lateness I have just got home and only now able to post as I had issues with new iPhone accessing internet)

I thought Valery has bulked up, but looked fit and kept running until the very late injury. His recovery tackle in the second half was superb and overall he was one of the best performers.
-
If we keep him on gardening leave is there anything to stop him having a quiet word with the Leicester management and hinting who they might wish to look at ?
-
Could be related, I have just seen Broja driving away from Staplewood! Or maybe training is finishedπ
-
I would happily offer McCarthy in part exchange ?

What we are talking about is using kicking the ball into the stands for wasting time (gamesmanship). If Foster is not that good (your opinion) he managed to accurately hit the ball out of touch quite a few times in a row.

Could it be a house for Ralph so he can keep his manager closeπ
