I really hope it's JWP he has some unfinished free-kick business here and a great engine. I know some do not appreciate him but playing him further forward like one or two managers and he is class.
-
Wasn't this made up and put on here earlier by someone waiting to see when the press would pick it up?
-
The fees are ridiculous but surprised Sky couldn't do better than a deflected shot for a goal?

Adam the Lama to return to Saints? Is this true?

Certainly would not want him as a player as he is too old. Would Russell Martin want him as a coach ? does he know him ? I think he could fit in as a relief coach driver as 14 games is too much for him. -
Southampton 1-0 Leeds - Saints are Promoted!!

Thanks for telling this 69 year old with metal knees NOW that there was a lift to get into the gods π. We had a great time, great atmosphere and support but was very concerned when my younger mate had 6 heart attacks in the last twenty minutes and then his apple watch said it was too noisy !!!! π. Bit late to bed this morning but thanks to all the Saints staff and players for a great day and getting us back into the Premier League. Frannie Benali reaction sums it up for me what a great family club we are loved by many ex players as well. -
Does that mean you agree with the behaviour of the people who went on the pitch against the requests, law breaking and severely damaging the clubs reputation? Also probably incurring fines taking away money the club could put towards the team? (Even Leeds fans are able to take the high ground after the antics of the minority) I am not sure whether you were at the game but morons may be slightly more polite than the the chanting of "w@nkers" that a large proportion of the crowd still in the stands were singing. I am not here to lecture you at all just expressing my disappointment that after a great night I had to leave feeling, like a lot of others I spoke to, rather down that we were not able to clap/cheer the team as we would with any other win. Sadly for you, you are not likely to be invited to any dinner parties I attend π
-
Totally agree it was an awesome night, great result, great atmosphere and then spoilt by morons. Then some posters on here even condone the behaviour it is mind boggling that you set that example for kids. Personally it spoilt our night not being able to clap the team on the pitch after that performance. Also if you thought it was good and harmless look at all the bad press, possible club fines and subsequent bad reputation of the supporters from the actions of muppets. Well done to those that allowed/encouraged their kids to go on the pitch and BREAK THE LAW fine example of what is wrong with society today

I am looking for a ticket for my son (25) who was due to be working but can now get the time off. Anywhere in the ground if anyone has one to sell please PM me or I can post contact details. TIA

I would like to see Mara given more playing time as I think he will come good but Brooks is a great signing π

I had an interest when I looked as I thought it was going to have some transfer news. Then I realised it was inane banter but wouldn't have had the audacity to suggest moving it had I known it was supported by admin of course. My now four posts have been the result of being drawn in by the childness and I realise I need to grow up π. To save further useless posts: EGG. I also look in on the transfer thread numerous times a day? TURKISH I am retired never had any of those professions, check newsnow every day and please don't call me hun π
-
I read the thread as I was (mistakenly) looking for transfer info. so with none available it is not my idea of fun. As you describe it as fun it is a shame we do not have Admin anymore as this thread should be in the Muppet Lounge which they describe as a "forum for banter and light hearted chat. EDIT Staggering it is own the main board
-
I stupidly came on the thread as I wanted transfer snippets but all we seem to get is attention seeking, pictures/riddles and later some possible explanation as to what they are or why they didn't work out. I'm pretty sure they can be made to mean anything, as you will undoubtedly triumph in your transfer window round up π. If it is a circle of trust why not keep it to yourselves and post when you have something you can say. People would see you more as genuine posters than attention seekers.
-
This is getting a little boring especially if you are a genuine fan looking for some snippets of information. Have you thought of starting your own forum and being the Kingpin on that?
-
I think we may have a Middleboro type result where the relegation fodder get a win over one of the top teams. Surely the defence can keep a clean sheet once this season and we could even score a goal ? Ran out of lucky shirts, pants, different routes, turnstiles, routines just hoping now that the ref hates Leeds? π
-
Can we give Wellington the boot and save space for any incoming transfer newsπ
-
The worrying thing about a player who wants to leave is if you block it he could do a Van Dick which in my view was a big disruption in our progression and caused so much unrest in the dressing room. I would rather trust the owners to bring in good replacements. Not saying either would do the same but not sure KWP looks happy to be here at the moment.
-
Sure you do need to watch it again! When Charles arm went up in the air it was not deliberate it was a reaction to the defender pulling down on the neck of his shirt from behind. It was a terrible decision from your MOTM who was right in line but did not have the bottle to give the penalty the shirt tug deserved. He bottled it with a very poor yellow card.
-
Are the goals bigger in the championship or the goalkeepers shorter? Some must think so if they worry about losing Che Adams who had many chances last season and missed most of them. I would rather let him go and bring in Piroe who seems to be a current goalscorer in the formation that the new manager plays.
-
I cannot see Grimes signing a new contract if he was in the wings waiting for us unless he was told we were not interested. Surely he could have waited and signed a new contract in a few weeks time when no one else had come in for him?
-
When does the transfer window close ? tomorrow? Oh no we have nearly two weeks, why not be patient and have faith in the recruitment? Its different than before, we have been told there are players we are interested in coming once we clear spaces. Can't the meltdown wait until the window closes? Probably answered my own question though every transfer window is the same meltdowns 2 weeks before it closes π
-
Perhaps the club could pay the difference between the wage Everton are offering and what he was on here? No idea how much the figures are but must be cheaper than keeping him here?
-
Just happier that following losing JWP and the crap second team at least there is news of an incoming apparently rated midfielder.
-
I have always rated JWP very highly and will be very sad to see him go. Also to see him break the free kick record for another team. However if the Downes loan rumour is true this would make the day a bit brighter after seeing we do not have a decent second team following the Gillingham result.
-
Know what you mean but think they will be better for JWP next season and may not haggle with stupid bids
-
I will be sad to see him go as I think he has been unfairly underrated on this forum but personally I would rather he break the free kick goal scoring record for Spurs than Wet Spam. Shame he hasn't teamed up with Poch though as he played him in the best position.
