I guess I am still in the relegation battle frame of mind from our time in the premier league .. every game was a bonus if we got anything back then
-
Man Utd attacking line up. I am worried! But these are the games where anything is a bonus. We have to expect defeat right? At least they haven't got RVP any more.
-
So many backward passes. Very negative play. But with the likes of Davis, Wanyama and Ward-Prowse as a three man midfield.. they just aren't suited for attacking football.
-
I think we have the players to do better than this. But Koeman can't get the mix right.
-
Game there for the taking for either team. Looking better coming forward now.
-
Koeman can't see what is wrong yet again. Need to change things.
-
Midfield lacking so far. Not sure who is meant to be defensive midfield but there is a hole in there. And no-one in a position to link the attack line Mane can.
-
Targett looked to be treading water there. Needs to get some pace.
-
Such a slow paced game so far.

As long as he apologised, I'd welcome him back. But I don't think the club would ever re-sign him.
-
Is anyone still defending James Ward-Prowse?

I think he played his best position today. Too many times he's been asked to be the advancing attacking midfield player. He's better off sitting back and spraying the ball around the pitch. -
Pleased to see Tadic in. Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk

Mourinho has disappeared up his own backside again. That's what.

10 matches this season. 6 sendings off

Oh dear. Sorry chaps. You are right, it is a glaringly rubbish source of information. Ignore my figures. I'll go back to sleep
-
Hmm. So given some inaccuracies is it fair to say we are probably breaking even? Certainly not that much in the plus though. But then you have the TV money coming in so I wonder where all those apparent mega millions went?
-
http://www.transferleague.co.uk/southampton/english-football-teams/southampton-transfers This was my source. Not sure about accuracy? When we first came up we spent a lot on the squad including 2 high profile signings in Ramirez and Osvaldo which was money thrown away..
-
Since we returned to the Premiership (4 years) we are operating at minus £30m transfer dealings despite big sales of the last 2 years. The TV money covers some of that, but how much is left over really?
-
If I read it correct. According to http://www.transferleague.co.uk/southampton/english-football-teams/southampton-transfers We are currently running at a £30 million loss from player sales alone since we got back in the Premiership despite all the expensive sales. Unfortunately our most high profile signings (Ramirez and Osvaldo) have not paid off (someone made a mistake somewhere) and we are being punished for that now.

It may be hard sometimes, but let's try to be positive...!

This is the kind of thread that should have started tomorrow morning. Or maybe the day after. -

Not sure what you are taking, but tell the nurse to pass some my way. -
Yes it's a bit embarrassing how West Brom and Everton have both been standing firm. It'll be even more embarrassing if they keep hold of their two.

Koeman just can't see it. He thinks we are good. He can't see where there are problems. -
He seems to have lost a bit of pace, a bit of alertness. Always seems the wrong side of the defender. But then a lot of his mates have been sold. All of them, in fact.
