I don't agree with that. We haven't been great but both sides fairly even over all. Could go either way. The thing is based on last season we ought to be beating them, not matching them.

It's not Morgan we are missing. It's Clyne and Bertrand. Those two change the whole shape of the team.

If we had a stronger CB and Bertrand in there I think we'd be okay.

Two of those were quality defenders and coming forward. That would account for a lot of the change.

Ref doesn't like Long then. That's two obvious decisions against him.

Whichever way we try to dress up the new signings - we are significantly weaker than last year and we have more games to play. It's not a good combination.

At a lower level he'd probably be okay. Just doesn't look up to the pace and awareness required in the Premiership. So far.

Last year we had this plucky confidence, truly believed we could beat anyone on our day and we duly did so. This season I just can't see that energy, that belief, that quality.

It does look that way, and I agree. You'd have thought we'd strengthen and improve for Europe. But we've become weaker.. leaving our profits largely unspent.

This could go either way, worryingly.

I guess we are bound to lack a bit of coherency with new faces and formation.
