Can he play up front?

It's nice to hear they want to stick around and make us successful etc. But they've made a lot of bad decisions so far, over and over again. So unless they learn from that, it does not bode well and suggests we'd be better off if they didn't stick around for the long term. Possibly bringing Wilcox in is a step towards trying to improve the decision making. Hope so..

Didn't Aribo play up front for Rangers last year sometimes? I'm surprised we've not tried that. Aren't any of the current youth crop worth an appearance from the bench? I'm mentally preparing myself for no new striker...

Worth a go up front I reckon. Can't do any worse than Adams surely?

What was the point?

Adam Armstrong tried hard today. But he's just not fast enough, not skilful enough, not strong enough for the Premier League. Will be great for Championship I think, if his confidence isn't completely shot by then.

Five defeats out of six PL games. Signs new players then doesn't play them. Not up to the job.

Yup. It was more luck that judgement that his mistakes today didn't lead to more Villa goals. Jones cannot see problems.

We've been so very poor today. Week after week we see the same players who just aren't good enough for this level. We bring a few new players in, we don't play them. What was the point?

Looking very much like 4 league games 4 defeats to teams around us. The cup game was special, but Jones is once again showing incapable of making the right decisions. He is unable to see that a Moi/Adams/Edozie front line is totally ineffective. Yet keeps sending out the same team. Why did we sign Orsic and not play him? Is he not considered as good as Edozie / Moi? Fully expect the same team second half. Failure to win today and we'll be starting to drop off the bottom and it's a long way back....

Really don't get Jones' thinking today. Putting the players who have failed us back in again.
