Awful last night. Ok he was playing on the left & not on his favored side but he didn't even attempt to take the ball to the by line, everytime cutting inside. Their right back was having a field day.

Tbf i think we realized we were in for a relegation scrap well before the Ipswich game. I'd happily take staying up this season & if at this stage somebody offered me 21st place come 5pm on the 3rd May 09 after the Forest game I'd be pleased. On one hand it's a sad thing to be saying as it's a measure of how far we have fallen but this is a new start & we are building a team with promising youngsters who given a year will be a lot better for the experience. Anybody expecting anymore than survival this season would be kidding themselves. A couple of experienced loans in January, coupled with keeping Pekhart til the end of the season & him banging in a few goals then we'll be fine IMO. It is also imperative that we keep Lallana for a year at least otherwise we will be in trouble.

You aren't the only one & I've not really rated him day 1. Although he is apparently playing out of position i can't see him being much better at DM. He just doesn't seem to have it brain wise, no sharpness, always a couple of seconds behind the play & completely agree about the passing thing. I also noticed he was one of the first of the pitch looking as if he was thinking "well i'm glad thats over". I guess the reason for the passing...etc could be because he's young & nervous but i don't see that as an ample excuse for being seconds behind the play every time. His positioning is also awful, so many times he'd go flying up the pitch or get dragged into midfield leaving huge spaces behind him. This is possibly the main reason Lancashire got sent off on Sunday because he had to go out onto the right to track the player down because James was half way up the pitch. When Killer/Thomas/Lancashire are all available I'd have either Perry or Cork at right back and maybe Thomas & Killer at CB.

Not technically Southampton but the one down the front of Holbury is great. Usually i can't eat kebabs sober but this is the only place where i find it possible to do so!

I think quite a few teams could win it this season. I think Liverpool may concetrate on the prem this season. Can't see Arsenal doing it but United & Chelsea will be there or there abouts. Aroad there is Inter with Mourinho, a rejuvenated Barcelona & Juve are back in the CL after a few years absence. Dark horses imo will be Roma. If i had to place any money on it i'd go with Chelsea.

+1. On my list of things to do before a die, a week on the continent on the lash watching football. Perfect. Another one to do is a world cup or european championship fo sho.

Another thing that would help avoid accidents would be no right turn on any of the junctions. This is the case at Stapledwood lane but it should also be up at Twiggs lane. I wouldn't even attempt to turn right on either side there tbh.

My last ex was sat the row in front of me at the Birmingham cup game a few weeks back. T'was a tad awkward considering i hadn't seen or spoken to her in 2 years despite both knowing the fact we still have feelings for each other. Just found a new missus as of last week but i still couldn't say I'd refuse teh ex should we get talking again.

Of course it would mean faster speed limits but i don't feel this is the problem, its people pulling out of junctions. Put traffic lights on each junction & this would eradicate accidents. A dual carriage way would also greatly improve traffic flow as the road is virtually a stand still during rush hour periods. Anybody else use the road on a daily basis??

4 points should be the minimum requirement, I'd take that. A point on Weds & 3 on Sat.

I don't think there is any way i could play 11 a side football again, certainly not without a good half a years gym or running exercise, maybe even a year. I'd be dead after the first 5 minutes!

My only exercise is with either arm raising or lowering a pint! Really need to start playing football & going up teh gym somewhen. Maybe a new years resolution.

The build up bit on sky yesterday was shocking, all QPR & not one mention of Saints but for a interview with Jan which lasted about half a minute!

I'd put Skacel at left back & push Surman forward as Skacel is a better left back IMO.

Fri - Meal & alcohol round friends with new missus Sat - Pub in day, friends birthday house party in evening Sun - Early morning secks, pub in day for the footeh, chinese in evening Football ruined a pretty gd weekend, still a 7/10.

Agree with that, although Lallana could even move out to the right, bringing Spiderman forward & thus allowing Gillett to remain in the starting 11. No way Wotton can be dropped IMO, one of few players to come out of yesterday with credit.

The difference being that the 17 pints are spread over time whereas those 9 were in the space of about 2 hours!!
