Bletchley is the closest station which is according to the footballgroundguide.co.uk a 25 min walk. There are meant to be plenty of bus services & a taxi rank at the station too.
-
I did ask but no he didn't.

Just been informed by David Luker that the tickets have arrived today & will be on sale from tomorrow.
-
Bought my ticket yesterday too, assume they will be valid for the new date.
-
Ipswich have improved recently but they've only won once away from home & only 4 games all season so we have a good chance. Will be a decent test of how far this current group of players are from being good enough to compete in the CCC too.

All out for 273 trailing by 18. Would have been more for that had it not been for Prior's mini slog at the end there. Need to skittle them out for 150/200 now IMO, going to be difficult to chase any more than that on this pitch me thinks.

Been told by David Luker that only 424 sold for this so far, highly unlikely we'd be getting any more tickets. -

Been checking out the trains again today & devised the following route. Depart Southampton Central 12.00 arrive Clapham Junction 13.12 Depart Clapham Junction 13.38 arrive Bletchley 14.55 Coming back... Depart Bletchley 21.17 arrive Clapham Junction 22.34 Depart Clapham Junction 22.46 arrive Southampton Central 00.15 Soton to Clapham leg is £14.25 return + Clapham to Bletchley £8.90 = £23.15 return each total based on 4 travelling (1 person with a rail card). -
Hopefully Swanny & Prior can stick around a bit in the morning & get us level or marginally ahead. With the pitch as it is I can't see it ending a draw tbh & fear for us having to bat last. Excellent days cricket today though, 11 wickets in total.

HITW was indeed excellent after Leyton Orient, wouldn't spend all my time in London there though. I guess most will be drinking around London Bridge, any particular pub where Saints fans will be going? Theres a spoons on Tooley street & a few other pubs that might be worth a try. Can't remember the place we went in before Charlton last season, was pretty decent though & about 2 mins from the station. -
Not sure what the allocation rules are for the JPT but if there anything like other cup competitions then we should be entitled to 15% of stadium capacity, their ground currently holds 22k so we should be entitled to 3,300 tickets. Bit out of order of them to be holding the tickets for away fans this long, its only 2 weeks on Wednesday till the game & I like a lot of others will probably need to book time off work for it. Hope we treat them the same way, offer 2,000 of the Northam & keep block 43 for Saints fans.

Email from Luker at 1.20 this afternoon: As for MK Dons away tickets, should be on sale next week. Club have ordered an initial 2000 & more are available if needed. -

South Africa Vs England - 2nd Test
saints_is_the_south replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in General Sports
Excellent performance all round from England. Bowled well first innings & got them out for a decent total, batted superbly & the best word I can think of to use to describe Swann & Broad's bowling in the 2nd innings is awesome. Now onto Cape Town where another victory will secure a series win. -

Note that the OS states an initial 2000 tickets so if we can sell these quickly hopefully we can get the bottom tier too. -

Off for bad light, probably no more play this evening. England in a fantastic position to go 1 up though, should have this wrapped up by lunch tomorrow. -
