  1. Time for action. I agree we should start letting everybody know that the Doncaster game should be boycotted. We need a big publicity drive. Come on Saints Trust ( I'm a paid up member) you have to take a lead. I'm a season ticket holder but I would gladly give up my ticket for the rest of the year if I could get rid of the smug, arrogant PLC chairman who has brought this club to it's lowest ever point. Incidentally I have been attending games home and away for 55 years. I have never been so depressed!
  2. Sounds right to me.Let the fans fight back begin! Let's do whatever it takes to get rid of this load of rubbish.
  3. Lowe chucked out the best man for the job. NIGEL PEARSON ! Thanks pal.
  4. Reading please
  5. Whether it is true or not both Lallana and Schneiderlin will be off in January and so will anyone else who has a market value. What a farce ! In 55 years of supporting Saints I have never seen such a depressing state of affairs. This is due to the "snouts in the trough" move to a public company and a chairman who has no regard for the club, the fans or the traditions of this once great club. The most amazing thing to me is that some people still think he is and has done a great job. God help us ! !
  6. Great post! We should get the Echo to publish this post. It sums up what many of us are thinking. I don't fear administration. I fear the continuance of a Rupert Lowe led public company!
  7. If Lowe really wanted the best for OUR CLUB he would have kept Nigel Pearson instead of trying to extract vengeance on the previous directors by making the ridiculous appointment of the Dutch duo. The nonsensical reason of saving money was obviously at the time a sham and is typical of the complete arrogance of the worst thing ever to happen to OUR CLUB in the 55 years that I have been a supporter both home and away. We need to do whatever it takes to get rid of him and I would support all the suggestions put forward elsewhere on this forum. Don't blame the manager! ( I feel sorry for him. He shouldn't be here and is out of his depth tryiing to manage in a league that he doesn't understand.) Don't blame the players! (for the best part they are doing their best and are not without ability but totally lack the experience to hold there own in a very tough league.) There is only one person to blame and that is as plain as the nose on your face.
  8. Every successful revolution has started with the public taking to the streets. A mass protest outside St Marys after a match is the way to put pressure on Lowe and his cohorts to resign. I don't accept for one minute that Lowe is immune to properly orchestrated protest . It is important that everyone turns up to save our club and it must be covered by the press who I'm pretty sure share the view that the vast majority of us have that Lowe MUST BE DEPOSED. If this nonsense carrys on much longer there wil definately not be a club to save. Time is short we must all act now!!
  9. I couldn't agree more. At present we have the very worst option in my opinion
  10. Well done Long Shot! Not only did I enjoy your very amusing and interesting comparison but you are quite right! However the real villain of the whole peace is Lowe. He failed to back the team by using a fair proportion of the money that we made by getting to the Cup Final and with Strachan, not surprisingly, leaving soon after, the club has been in total freefall ever since. By the way does anybody know where that income went. Crowds were high (30,000+) and expenditure was low particularly as we were a Premiership club. That is the time when a clever, astute and less arrogant chairman would have made the right decisions that would have kept the club on track. Lowe is a seller by inclination as he has no real understanding of what football is all about. Why should he! He only arrived on the back of a very iffy reverse takeover deal that did nobody any good except a few greedy individuals with their snouts in the trough. We have been reaping the folly of that deal which turned the club into a public company ever since. I'm totally convinced that it has made it hard for a number of potential investors to get involved. It's just another business to Lowe and he has proved time and time again that even as a businessman he really doesn't have a clue. How he is back at the helm I will never understand. Wilde has a lot to answer for and history will judge him accordingly. I'll continue to be there both home and away and I pledge to renew my season ticket once again at the end of the season but it doesn't stop me having a bad taste in the mouth about what has gone on in recent years.
  11. I have seen both matches this season and I'm sorry this "youth team" with a sprinkling of hardened old pros who are very much at the end of their careers is going nowhere but into a relegation battle. Nice football at times and for the best part plenty of energy, enthusiasm and fitness but this is a very tough league and we lack the experience both on the field and particularly on the bench to have any chance of competing with the vast majority of the teams in the Championship. Today was a good example - played well in the first half and deserved to be in front but after the break Birmingham took over and were comfortable winners in the end. Too many young promising but raw kids and a distinct lack of a cutting edge up front spells trouble. Selling Andrew Davies who was our best player by far last season shows that Lowe and this toothless board are totally committed to selling anyone despite their proven ability and worth to the team to any club who makes any sort of bid. By the nature of this policy there is no doubt that the team has no chance of anything but battling to avoid the drop. Crowds will drop and the financial pressure will increase. Sorry to paint such a morbid picture but I have supported this club for over 50 years and will continue to attend matches both home and away but the future is very bleak in my opinion. Unless an outside investor enters the fray replacing Lowe and his non investing cronies and it seems to me that is unlikely despite the plumetting share price, we will continue to go downhill. Please don't criticise me for lack of support for uttering an honestly held and hopefully realistic opinion. Blind faith when the writing is on the wall is delusion.
  12. Compare the reaction of the West Brom fans last year at The Hawthorns when a draw was enough to send them up. They all came over to our fans to wish us luck in our fight against relegation and the disgusting behaviour of the Derby rabble on that notorious evening at Pride Park and you will understand why I wish West Brom nothing but good luck this season in the Premiership and Derby nothing but the worst this season back in the Championship. You get out of life what you deserve. Enough said!!
  13. I've seen nothing in the pre season that makes me think that we will do anything but struggle. Let's hope I'm way off the mark but I fear that we lack the necessary ability and class in too many areas. Sorry to be so downbeat but realistically the writing is on the wall. Don't be mislead by the draw against West Ham and what appears to be on paper reasonable displays against Celtic and Stoke. I suspect we will be brought right down to earth this Saturday against Cardiff. I will be very interested to see how this inexperienced team and especially the inexperienced Management team cope when things start to go wrong.
