  1. When they got rid of Whittingham I was a little upset as I thought it would be impossible for them to find someone more clueless. Good old pompey, the gift that truly keeps giving!
  2. Just been online to buy my seats. The only delivery option is 'upload to season card', I assume meaning my season ticket will let me in on the day. Email saved for when the inevitable happens:lol:
  3. Might seem that way from the outside, but its not that new. Cycling teams have been using their own chefs at hotels for years. THey literally rock up on the morning of the stage/race, boot out the hotel chefs and get on with cookinh their own teams food. Its one less variable for the management to worry about, the riders (or player in Saints case) are getting a decent nutritious meal, and they know what they are eating will be prepared to their liking. Got a feeling a few of the bigger teams (Sky etc) do the mattress thing as well. An athlete recovers best on a decent nights sleep, and a familiar mattress aids good sleep.
  4. I'm self employed so I don't get any holiday per se, however most people in employment only get 5 weeks or so a year. So no, probably not. Teachers get what, 13 weeks?
  5. So if its that important why have so many inset days? Surely that affects the childs education. Why can't these 'training days' be taken during school holidays? At the end of the day it should be down to the schools discretion. If a child is doing well and working hard there shouldn't be a problem granting them a weeks holiday, they could even use it as a motivational carrot. You don't work hard enough, you don't go away.
  6. I guess it could work if the linesman was given an indication of when a player strayed offside, maybe the watch could vibrate or something all the while the player is offside, he then just needs to wait for the ball to be played forward and to decide if the player is interfering with play. Theres too many variables to give a definitive answer but it would stop any 'his knee was offside' type arguements.
  7. Nice. Have that Red**** you crooked old bastard. Of course 'arry wouldn't be involved in any transfer, he doesn't do that, f'sure...
  8. That chart doesn't really do justice to just how steep that mountain really is, its brutal. Add to that the wind and exposure once you get out of the tree line and its easy to see why its so feared. Ive been up it in a car, that was hard enough!
  9. Just explain the kids had some weird and rare disease that can only be cured by exposure to strong sunlight. Simples!
  10. Actually I was asking batman the same question he asked me in the other thread where I suggested we should try ro get Begovic
  11. Just phone in sick. The school will know what you're up to but they won't bother going through the hassle of trying to prove it.
  12. Cheers guys, were staying across the bay at the Marmaris Imperial. Its adult only and all inclusive so I don't plan on being able to walk too far anyway...
  13. me and the mrs have booked our first ever holiday without any kids for next summer, going to Marmaris. Anyone been there? Any good places to visit/avoid? Dos and donts etc?
  14. You do know Monday is their usual day off?
  15. when was the last time a 1st choice, top flight keeper in england moved in january?
  16. Don't know. Doesn't mean it can't happen.
  17. If were serious about getting another keeper I reckon we should stick in a big bid for Begovic in January, Stoke are going nowhere, he might well come here if the money is right.
  18. Zola has resigned from Watford apparently. Possible?
  19. They can want who they want, getting them is a different matter, and we all know ow hard NC bargains.
  20. I think the chief of the village was just behind us. Over the course of the 90 mins he called everyone on the pitch, and most of the benches, a c**t. Literally everyone. It was clearly the only insult he knows, apart from when he was really angry, then they were a f***ing c**t. Inspired.
  21. Right . Gazzaniga was not awful. Nervous yes, awful, no. He made one mistake which was not dealing with a horibble bouncing back pass, apart from that he was actually quite solid. Not saying hes anywhere near ready yet, just trying to put a bit of perspective against the doom merchants
  22. Well done to the morons that were singing that yesterday, the bloke that signed SRL and started our journey back to the top and got us a day at Wembley. Poor old Nigel better hope we don't draw them in the cup any time soon... Dickheads
  23. Getting the train up with nipper in the morning, arriving about lunchtime, any decent pubs near the station where we can get some food?
