£12m seems low when you consider the transfers of others this summer. I said towards the end of the season that he was worth £15m, but needed another decent season to generate some interest from other clubs + France. Not had the best start to the season - maybe this is simply the new partnership?

I would say that some clubs utilise the loan window successfully while others simply don’t. We are definitely in the don’t category. Generally we have a very hit/miss approach to transfers. This is something that needs a bit more consideration and focus. Not seen any staff casualties for what is potentially £20+ million wasted over the last 1-3 years. for a club our size that is a huge amount to squander
