Our season has been over for a long time - you know that, I know that.... I think everyone knows that. Problem is YOU said it and as you know people like to argue with you and then complain that youve ruined the forum The players even knew it - thats why Wanyama/Mopo and co stopped talking about top 4 and started talking about the "exciting" prospect of beating our 2001/2 points total

I really don’t see too much doom and gloom? I think we have some healthy debate about win % and players in/out and I think everyone has different views on the direction we will go, but that football and that’s opinions. We can’t and shouldn’t all think alike?

I am working on the assumption that he's going - if he doesnt so be it. There is an arguement for both sides - Option a) Build a reputation at a smaller club and earn the big job/move. Good examples of this - Martinez and Rogers. Bad examples Moyes Option b) Take a step up whenever it comes as reputations can drop very quickly. Good examples of this - Paul Lambert. Bad examples Solskjaer and Laudrup If Mopo takes option B so be it.

This! The premiership has become very predictable - take a look at the "where will we finish" threads from the summer. Saints were widely tipped for an 8/9th finish and Liverpool, Chelsea, Man C were backed for the title. Even the relegation candidates have been very predictable this season. The only teams to buck the predictable trend are Palace and perhaps for some Liverpool and Everton Suits me though – even beyond the Premiership things have been easy to predict/bet on this season. I had Leicester, Wolves, Chesterfield, Luton, Rangers, Dundee and Peterhead all for promotion – easiest £££££ I have won in a while

If Welbeck wanted to leave he'd go to a club playing in europe (Everton or Spurs) ahead of us. If they weren't interested he'd come to us if we pay him more than say Villa, Fulham or Newcastle were prepared too. He wouldn't choose us over let's say Villa simply as we finished 8th rather than 14th.

Finishing 8th over 14th makes no difference to a player joining. Players want 1st team football, MONEY + European football. We can offer 2 of these things this summer.... Same as last summer and the summer before

Clubs in general don't have issues attracting players.... The club that pays the most normally wins the transfer irrespective of league position or media coverage. Look at Ramirez and Osvaldo, doubt either had heard of us prior to signing Money talks and 8th gives us a bit more £'s should we decide to push on

Nonsense! Finishing 8th gets us a few more £'s nothing more nothing less. Look at the clubs that have finished 8/9th in the last few seasons... WBA, Fulham, Birmingham, WHU, Villa, Portsmouth and Swansea. Means very very little in the grand scheme
