There are an awful lot of overheads involved in any business that people don't always consider. Guess what I do for a living!!

The thing about the 10k STs sold is that you can't really compare numbers directly with last year as the pricing structure is quite different. The tickets are cheaper to start with and they are literally giving away the U8 STs. I would guess that these are included in the figures and that they are quite high in number, as well as the ones for older kids which are not free but bring very little income. Who knows??

Call me pedantic but the way I understand it, 6/4 on represents a 40% chance of survival and 60% relegation. Evens would be 50% and 2/1 on 33% (survival chance). The conversion is to add the two nos together and then take any one of the two nos over the total depending on which side of the bet you are looking at. Of course the bookie is looking to make a margin as well so if they offer 6/4 on against relegation they really assess the odds of relegation as slightly lower than 60% and therefore survival at slightly higher than 40%. What do I think - well I like to be a bit optimistic so we'll say 51%!!

It's pretty obvious to me that the vast majority of the people who have deserted over the last few seasons have done so because the idea of Championship football doesn't appeal as much as Premiership football for whatever reason. This is a perfectly legitimate reason to stop coming but it is interesting how many seem to want to dress it up as something else. Given that if we were still in the Premiership ticket prices would probably be around 50% above what they are now, but the attendances would undoubtedly be much higher makes the money excuse laughable in my opinion.

I don't think James had a great game last night but in terms of the numbers of attacks getting through on the left compared to the right, I wouldn't say he was the weakest full-back on display.
