  1. Maybe he has been with family recovering from the whole "fans verbally challenging him" thing. Lets hope he does the honourable thing and resigns now, we cant afford to pay him off with the "Dowie" money?
  2. Dont suppose you can also do the managers that have been talked about as Jan replacements? Dowie Keane Adams Ince Boothrooyd Pardew Coterill Hollaway Tisdale Hoddle Keegan Its not 100% reliable but its a start & a useful talking point?
  3. Nice work Can anyone do the same for 07/08 & 08/09 (so far) plus stats for Pearson & Jan?
  4. One more "out of work" manager that I looked up: Roy Keane Ireland 42% Imagine him & Lowe having an argument!
  5. Easy to get in, up the back of the jumper or under that bit of cardboard that sits at the bottom of a sports bag?
  6. Sorry, the caretakers werent listed on the sites I visited. Here's some more for comparison: Ian Branfoot English 28% Ian Dowie English 42% Billy Davies Scotland 39% José Mourinho Portugal 68% Alex Ferguson Scotland 56% Micky Adams England 37% Oh and I take your points that other factors need to be born in mind!
  7. This one was posted by Staplewooder on the 606 site: Four more & we'll ask the mods for a poll!
  8. I got hold of a list of all Saints Manager to date. This bit below is purely the managers we've had under Lowe together with their win percentages & origins. What I found interesting was: Souness was our first ever non English Manager (20 english in a row until then) Jan was in fact our first ever non British Manager What a good record Burley had ! Jan is higher than Nigel but worse than Redknapp who took us down Why o why did I fight against Hoddle coming back? 3 of the top 4 are Scots! The best and worst are both English. Graeme Souness (1996–1997) Scotland 29% Dave Jones (1997–2000) England 32% Glenn Hoddle (2000–2001) England 42% Stuart Gray (2001) England 31% Gordon Strachan (2001–2004) Scotland 35% Paul Sturrock (2004) Scotland 38% Steve Wigley (2004) England 14% Harry Redknapp (2004–2005) England 26% George Burley (2005–2008 ) Scotland 41% Nigel Pearson (2008 ) England 21% Jan Poortvliet (2008–present) Holland 25% Sorry if theres any mistakes, stats from web & percentages from windows calculator.
  9. Peter Reid played eight games in 1993 (looked brill), then we sacked Branfoot & he left - Boo!
  10. I'd like to know when the approach was made?

Lowes Punishment Remove the Idiots Peenis then Redface In Pain
  12. All that happened on Saturday but according to "BBC South Today" neither Lowe, Wilde or any members of the board were available for comment! Wonder if they are too busy discussing ways to save the club?
  13. Was Lowe in charge when we commisioned the first statue?
  14. OK then we have idea #5, tackle the plc with Ron's plan, hold the funeral to gain valuable publicity and boycott the game when we are next on TV and meet up at Central Hall.
  15. This is Weston Saints plan to remove Lowe (thanks for the heads up saint1977):
  16. Just for info, this advice on "saving your club" was written by Brighton Fans & can be found on their brilliant website set up to help others in a similar predicament (well done lads, one of the most unselfish things I have ever seen in Football). http://www.clubsincrisis.com/advice.asp Bridgetoofar I think we will need the full list of 10-12 before they can create the poll?
  17. Cheers SITH! If we win the poll I'll be in touch!
  18. I was just reading about the first ever "Fans United Day" on the Brighton Forums: http://northstandchat.com/archive/index.php/t-13122.html Maybe this could be the third idea? It could even be combined with the first idea (Funeral March) e.g. fans from all around the UK are invited to pay their respects to SFC, were you a fan of Matt Le Tissier, did you enjoy it when we beat Man U 6-1 or Liverpool 4-2. Afterwards you are all invited inside for drinks and a sing song?
  19. Cheers FHS If we get the go ahead from the poll the you can do the following: Contacting Meridian & BBC TV Contacting BBC Radio, Talk Sport, etc I'll talk to the Echo and design some flyers. Any more volunteers?
  20. Lowe already has a fizzing grenade in his office, closing the Northam would be like piling barrels of TNT, crates of flour & drums of fertiliser around it to shield him from the blast?
  21. I like it too Wes, it will fall down though if the next time we are shown on TV is the last game against Notts Forest to stay up (eek)?
  22. Wes Tender The original point of this thread was to list each protest idea, provide a poll & pick one democratically. So lets make CB Fry's idea number 2. Like my funeral idea it needs prodding & poking to see if it stands up. Any others?
  23. surrey1saint Were you not there on saturday? Fans fighting all around us, two thirds calling for lowe to go, no fight after the first 20 minutes, awful tactics, Armstrong thrown out, the Echo staff told to move, pitch invasions, fans arguing with Poortvliet, losing 2 soft goals against the team below us, 400 outside reception - When do you think it is needed then!
  24. I like this, it allows us to show within the ground that we are planning to attend the funeral or have just been to it.
  25. I really would prefer the idea to go up against others and be voted on. If it wins however I think it best we unite and each volunteer for small tasks. Here are some that I have thought of: Liaising with the Echo (I am happy to take this as I have a contact in the sports department) Producing a flyer that can be put in shop windows & pubs (again happy to take this one) Sorry, I am on jury service this week (not needed until tomorrow) and so cant do loads? Contacting Meridian & BBC TV Contacting BBC Radio Contacting BBC TV Trying to get in contact with celebrity supporters (Craig David, Holly Valance, Lucy Pinder, David Frost, Mike Osman, etc) Making the coffin (i'm thinking maybe a light plywood frame, thick cardboard sides?) Decorating the coffin Printing some flyers (I can email them) and distributing them around Southampton? Anyone want to lead the funeral with a bell and appropiate hat? Anyone a good speaker want to "say some words" outside reception? Any others?
