I understand that your chairman is hoping that you also go down before the investigation begins into your links with gunrunning! -
Not content with Talk Sport & Sky News he's also on satellite channel 587 at 10: Season 1 Episode 6 - Adventures over the Itchen Synopsis: The perenial duck hunter & general pain in the ar'se finally gets to show us all his swinging techniques. Last in series, also available in HD.

The administrator mentioned only the Football club & Jacksons Farm during his press conference and I agree this does look bad for our argument, however the holding company once ran mortgage Businesses, Radio Stations, Retirement Homes, etc. Presumably these all did badly & closed? Heres the full list: Leisure Holdings PLC Southampton Football Club Ltd St. Mary's Stadium Ltd St. Mary's SPV Ltd Southampton Insurance Services Ltd Southampton Mortgage & Financial Centre Ltd Saints Supporters Club Ltd Southampton Swaylife Ltd Secure Retirement Ltd Dell Estates Ltd St Michael's Street Homes (No. 1) Ltd Stadium 2000 Ltd Felix Broadcasting Ltd South City FM Ltd Forest FM Ltd Surely thats not the same as just starting a holding company to protect the debts of the FC? I reckon if we secure a good lawyer & the FA Panel get their oats tonight we may just surprise everyone!

You forget the Lowe / Clifford / Woodward Consortium, surely 2/1 favs?
-
My second choice would be "Aidy Boothroyd", reckon he might be a stayer too?

What really, really always annoys me about these unbalanced and unresearched Lowe articles is they all fail tio mention: - Its was Lowe who employed Gray! - Its was Lowe who employed Wigley! - Its was Lowe who decided we should take a disinterested Redknapp, their backroom staff & a load of their crappy players! - Its was Lowe who's entire transfer policy consisted of selling the family silver, replacing it with Tupperware & expecting us to be better! - Its was Lowe who bought a ground that required 18k fans every game to afford it, then he refused to back Strachans request to move up a gear in the transfer market & replace him with a new manager every 6 months until we were down! - Its was Lowe who employed SCW (an effin Rugby coach)! - Its was Lowe who decided a new dome was better than buying decent players in the first season down! - Do I even need to move onto the complete F up he made this season? When we finally got fed up of this we apparently "bit the hand that fed us". He never fed us anything but he sure did borrow a lot of Sugar!

I agree with TFC. A clean sweep of the board, manageable debt, Keegan in charge (hopefully doing a Fulham) and 25k a week & I will be happy again!
-
I am on the case, been talking to the club fro 2 days now. Will update this site when there is some news.
-
The club is within walking distance of many historic sites: Mayflower memorial which commemorates the departure of "The Mayflower" that set sail in 1620 for America from the port of Southampton. Titanic dock & museum (Huge new Titanic Museum and "walk on" replica to be built soon, lots of overseas visitors coming in. The Medieval Merchants House. As Soccer AM say - If you are visiting the city, pop on down & take in a game!
-
We have actually played a big part in Soccer history, one of our early players took football to Brazil (World Cup record holders). Here is some text from the BBC H2G2 Site: I am surprised the club hasnt made of this to be honest, most Saints fans know nothing about it?

Could maybe scrape £250 (I only work P/T and my missus reckons its just blokes chasing a bag of air)
-
TT Could you post a few hundred "Club for sale" leaflets in Beverley Hills, its only a few hours by car?
-
Yes but does it cheer you up as much as this one?
-
Good idea bud, get the Echo involved & it could take off?
-
You might think I ****ed up but experienced striker Chris Iwelumo rang me to say that its the best example of administration he has ever come across!
-
I'm sure that it would be "friendly" only in name. If it happened I reckon they'd give us all the proceeds minus costs (bad PR otherwise).
-
Somebody on the BBC 606 site suggested that Portsmouth should play saints in a quickly arranged friendly, with a packed stadium we could possibly raise half a million. Good idea? Would you go? Would you change your opnion of them?
-
After hearing the news this week I very nearly was!!!! Paul

What worries me though is that there wont be any "potential investors". Alternately we may have one that looks to be purchasing right up until the last hour & then pulls out. Surely having a second egg in the basket in case it all goes T*ts up is a sensible option? The newly formed "Supporters FC Group" makes it clear we want a proper buyer but if one doesnt come forward we want to take control to stop the club from going extinct?
-
Like many of you today I am sat here worrying about what if's What if the two interested parties are just tire kickers? What if the recession is so bad that nobody else wamts to buy a football club? What if we die as a club before the last game even kicks off? I have come to the conclusion that we need a Plan B. That Plan B needs to be us fans waiting in the wings to buy the club from the Admins if no-one else comes in? We need a High-Profile Ex-Player to front it & start getting in the cash or pledges of cash, and we need it quick. I'm gonna call it "Fan B". What do you all think? :smt017

Is that a P45 in your hand or are you just peed to see me?
-
MMMmmmm? Isnt Mr Beckham a fan of our youth policy and was once rumoured to be interested in buying Orient? He could employ a really good CEO and bring in loads of publicity marketing?
-
As a STH I normally buy early to keep the costs down, last year it was called March Madness I believe. Each game worked out around £14 or something? I would be happy this year to renew but only save a few bob, say £20 per game? Am also happy for fans who buy on a per match basis to get them at say £21 each?

Rattlehead Dont remember a furore in 2004 when Derby did exactly this? If Derby get away with it & we dont then that isnt fair either?
