Go on do your best to convince me we should stick with Nige after that result against a poor WH. Rationalise his tactics and team selection please to justify him staying in the seat.

Nothing, no response, which tbh i was reliefed about!

My cousin ref'd the game and i got free tickets and a guided tour of the stadium which was impressive. I celebrated the goal, much to the amazement to the other guests of the day!

Just back from the game, had a free ticket as my cousin ref'd the game. Had a great day out at the curtsey of Arsenal FC. Saw Dave Merrington in the press canteen eating lunch and saw the Saints changing room were amongst the highs of the day. I was seated amongst the Gooners and can say they are the lamest supporters. Credit it to the traveling Saints fans who sang and could be heard around the ground. Hopfully MOD will show the one Saints supporter giving it some amongst a sea of Gooners when we scored, that was me! First half we had no teeth to our attack and Rickie was isolated. We were ineffective attacking and the defence was run ragged. It was game over at half time. In the second half we came out fighting, Ramirez stood out and linked up well. Puncheon ran his socks off and gave 100%. Ward-Prowse was poor today, gave alot away, Schnidelderlin was alos ineffective. Ironically, even having to pull the ball out of his net 6 times Kelvin was my MOM. In some ways it was a credit to the side that we tried to play the ball out at every opportunity but i wonder if it was wise to play Arsenal at there own game as they clearly taught us a lesson today. Is this a formidable Arsenal team or did we make them look that good? The question we will ask ourself over the coming weeks is why we didn't strengthen the defence.

This is serious. How close could Rickie be to an England call-up ???

Adam L is a better prospect for England, isn't Rickie to similar to Carol? -

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
monkadill replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Gulp - 16.54: Reports are circulating that Nottingham Forest are trying to thrash out a deal for Southampton striker Billy Sharp. Sharp only joined the Saints in January, but he has moved down the pecking order this summer with plenty of new arrivals at St Mary's. -

Have to agree with everything you say. We lack pace and in that game never played to our strengths, lets go in fighting. What also worries me is the onus on transfers now, we should have nailed them by now to be better prepared. As you said...it will be a long hard season.

Thank you brother..

Watching the Bolton - Forest game. Nice to see the ex Saints playing well for Forest. It shows how far we have come, but i am worried by our lack of intent in the transfer market will see us back there again. On another point - Owen Coyle is a sh1t manager, never actually says anything in his press conferences. Nigel, take note, none of this blah blah rubbish, say it as it is! Up the Saints Target up...

not any old doughnut, a crispy cream, wanted by a host of other clubs... We are so the Prem pretenders..
