What level of points deduction would be required (on average) for a team which would otherwise be chasing protion back to the premier league to be relegated to league 1?

If the amount was deducted from the employee's pay then the employee has paid. If the employer hasn't paid it over then the employer owes HMRC. HTH

There's also the real posibility that the party that comes 3rd in terms of votes cast will end up with the largest number of seats and its leader as PM. I'm not an expert on the voting system / reform but this seems crazy.

I'd go for this option. If after an hour and a half you calmly let them know that you have been deliberately wasting their time and that they won't be getting a sale/any commission out of you, ever, they'll soon stop.

I'm due to fly out for my honeymoon on the 10th. We can get a refund if we can't fly however I will be massively pi**ed off.

My comment was intended more tougnue in cheek than anything else but... "...as long as it continues to annoy..." does imply that it was trolling Maybe I should have added a smiley of some sort.

I think she's Spanish. Sound's very sensible from the little I've heard from her.

It hasn't been closed so may have changed... My personal frustration is the lack of acknowledgement as too how bad the economic situation really is. Unfortunately any party declaring "we're ****ed and need to sort it our pronto" will be accused of talking down the economy into a double dip recession, and of course nobody likes to vote for cuts if somebody else is promising that is isn't necessary. Personally I get more and more frustrated as I come across friends who hear promises to "halve the deficit in 4 years" and assume that it means halving the debt. It doesn't. Halving the rate at which our debt continues to increase is not solving the problem. There is going to need to be cuts to services. Nobody wants this to be the case but the sooner we recognise that this is the case and stop praying that it will go away if we ignore it the better. Allowing the problem to mount will only make it worse. I'm with Allister Heath (from a pre-debate article) in my frustration with all parties. "unfortunately for Darling, is about it: contrary to what he claims and perhaps even believes, the Labour manifesto is disturbingly collectivist. All the tax hikes, including the rise in national insurance, penalise work and damage incentives; that and the rest of his parties’ policies will continue to erode Britain and London’s competitiveness, cost jobs and over time make us a substantially poorer and less dynamic nation." "It is desperately important to cut the size of the deficit – and the Lib Dems, like the Tories and Labour, fail to explain how they will do anything more than slightly reduce its size" http://www.cityam.com/news-and-analysis/allister-heath/labour-and-liberals-move-the-left

I nearly took your advice... -
How apathetic are your workmates to the election?

A couple of the girls say that they probably won't bother as "there's no point". If asked about who they would vote for they can only come up with "Cameron is too greasy". That this is their only comment and they seem to not have a clue about any of the policies being proposed by any of the parties. By the sound of it if they do vote then it will be based purely upon who their parents have voted for historically with no consideration given to thinking through the issues for themselves. Although I am a strong believer that everybody should vote, maybe it’s better if they don’t. I despair. -

I got 11/1 for them to finish bottom. If I'd pulled my finger out a few days earlier it would have been 13/1. Only got 3/1 on them go down though. -
It was reported that the bonuses that caused a lot of the problems were for "qualifying for Europe". Given that Chelsea are already going to be in the Champions league technically they have qualified (even if they chose to turn it down). It would be unfortunate if this semi final win increased the wage bill to the point that the administrator felt complelled to shut up shop... (I doubt this will happen but an amusing thought)

He is responsible for any liabilities taken on during his watch. I can't believe that the "cutting to the bone" that he has done so far has resulted in them becoming profitable, even with the cup run. My vote still goes for toast.

Thanks!

I will be moving house shortly and the new TV will be wall mounted. Now due to the lay out of the room there isn't anywhere obvious to put a virgin/sky/freesat box. I was going to have the DVD etc in a cupboard as I'll only need to be able to get at those every now and then however if I do the same with the virgin/sky box then I won't be able to use the remote. Which will obviously be a complete pain in the @rse. Is there an easy solution? Can you get a remote control detector (if they even exist) which I can attach to the bottom of the tv and then run a small wire to the box? Any other suggestions? I'd really rather avoid organising the whole room around being able to install tv harware. EDIT: Ah this should do it... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marmitek-PowerMid-infrared-extender-set/dp/B000GIXH42/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1270549862&sr=8-1

Thanks. I knew he'd do this. And obviously I mean 'to' our seats... Can't change the title now
