Has the pre-match pub been identified yet?

Exactly. The key point in the short term is which debts can they definately not postpone until the end of the season and so need to be covered by player sales in January. My guess would be HMRC and Wages are priority 1. If we assume (I've no idea) that gate receipts to the end of the season will cover, no salary overheads; £7m needed to prevent the winding up petition £3m per month needed to pay players and on-going PAYE NI etc. If we assume they need to get to the end of May thats another £15m. Total so far £22m minimum. If sol were to issue a winding up petition (would be so funny), portapin call in their debt this increases. Given that other clubs know that you need to raise this as a minimum to get to the end of the season the fire sale is going to be epic.

See my post above. Anybody owed over £750 can (after a short process) apply for a winding up petition, as HMRC have done. To appoint an administrator you must be a chargeholder.
-
The court. A qualifying charge holder (i.e. somebody with security) who hasn't been paid. Ordinarily the Directors could also appoint administrators but the winding up petition prevents them.
-
Agreed. Even if they have agreed to postpone payments on the transfers already outstanding a load more payments will no doubt fall due at the end of January. Technically they might be paid up to date at the moment but they have no apparent means of meeting the payments due in just a few days! If any money is spent on palyers, only for other debts to remain unpaid the PL will have a lot to aswer for. Not least to Watford who are struggling themselves. That said still nothing on the BBC. Is Marc Jacob just making pronouncements based on fantasy again or is that a wish too far?

1) Doesn't look like it (yet) 2) They can't

Will be interesting to see what happens to Notts County on Wednesday. Despite the assurances being given by their board I think there is a significant chance that they will go under. How the fall out is handled will show us the likely outcome for the blue few.

You'll go into admin before the winding up hearing. If not then the the secured creditors are going to lose even more money and are morons.
-
Which version of Excel are you using? If you put today's date in a free cell "=TODAY()" you can run the conditional formatting from the difference between the cells you want the rule to apply to and the cell with today's date.
-
Indeed you are. At the point that the club enters admin a moratorium (freeze) is placed on all creditors, including HMRC. The problem for the directors at this point is that becuase the WUP is in place they can't put the club into administration themselves (as Rupes did) without applying to court.

Thinking aloud here a little but... They either need to raise enough from player sales to pay both the wages and HMRC before the end of January or they are f***ed. In all likelihood they may also have to raise the cash to pay portapin and others too. If they get to hearing of the winding up petition on the 11th and lose, the doors will be shut. Pretty much the worst outcome for everybody as not only will the club cease to trade but the amount of money that can be raised to pay creditors is minimal. On that basis I would expect one of the charge holders to put them into administration before then as they will likely lose everything if they don't. Any administrator will have to make a call on whether it is worth keeping them going to the end of the season before trying to sell the club or just shutting the doors anyway. Keeping them going to the end of the season will costs A LOT in wages and so would have to be justified by a reasonable expectation of a sale for a decent amount (i.e. more than the costs of running the club in the interim). The only real option is to either sell everyone on a high wage ASAP raising enough money to pay the rest to the end of the season and hopefully a sale, or release them all on frees to keep the running costs down. In either event they will end up playing the youth team. Even if they do sell everyone in January an administrator might still choose to close the doors and just give the cash raised to creditors, if he doesn't think he can sell the club...

I'd have to double check the name of the form (I think its an R80...) but you can fill in one form and get any overpayment back in a few weeks. You will need to wait until the end of the tax year though.

To be fair I don't think the prospect of a derby game is going enough to get the players to work for free...

FFS Delldays. Stop being so sceptical. "A Spurs fan said" therefore it must be true!

To be fiar to PES anybody who says that they wouldn't be gutted if we lost is either a bit wierd or not being entirely honest. We are a League 1 team, if we played tomorrow they SHOULD beat us. However I'm holding out for the end of the January Poopey player sale. Hopefully any of their better players who aren't sold won't be paid and will give their 14 days notice and they'll have to play the under 16s. If we win I will go absolutely F*&&%ing metal!
-
If Poopey don't manage to meet the wage bill this month I'm assuming that the players are still able to give 14 days notice and leave for nothing. Given that this will take them into February will they be able to sign for other clubs? When does a free transfer/unattached player window close?

Brilliant rant!

Did they say where the bin was? The PFC board room by any chance?

Given that they show that the net income from transfers only needs to be £1m you do have to wonder who actually leaked these "accounts". My money is on his last name begining with J...

Wimbledon vs Saints - First Half & Half-Time Chat

I don't suppose this game s high profile enough fo somebody to have found a live web link? Or is that just wishful thinking? -
The one with a link to Pom*ey fans claiming that Al Fahim is 10 x richer than Abramovic and a Trillionaire is still my personal favourite.

Chortle.
