  1. We're going to need a Platinum thread forum.
  2. Some little gems...
  3. Petty laughable regardless! Although I wouldn't be at all surprised if you are right. :smt081
  4. Straws... Clutching... At... http://portsmouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=9673&posts=6
  5. My money is on all 3!
  6. "He also explained that the club were fighting the Premier League's decision to retain the club's Sky money..." Hang on... Did you tell the EPL to distribute it or are you fighting them? At least try to have a full 24 hours between contradictions!
  7. Not long until payday comes around again... Have the players with international bank accounts even been paid for December yet?
  8. I don't have a log in. How do you change the defence?
  9. If this happens I will eat my laptop.
  10. If Lambert is "worth" £1m then Papa is worth a lot less than that... Agree that it depends on the price though. He has potential but can't seem him being good enough in the future if/when we get to the prem. Edit: On balance.... no. For the money we are talking (although we aren't ITK) I think we could do better.
  11. Do you have a link for us lazy types?
  12. In case you hadn't noticed, the "mess" that you need to get out of isn't just on the pitch... And yes it would be a surprise if you stay up.
  13. Surely the only justification for doing this would be becuase they had massive investment and were able to pay the other clubs on their own. But then if this is the case, why does it matter if the PL just pay it direct?
  14. Boom tish... Half the total bet. I would never spend as much as £20 onthat place!
  15. P*mpey to come bottom at 11/1 was my best. If I'd pulled my finger out a couple of days earlier I could have got 13/1. I also bottled it and put half (£10) on them to finish bottom and the other half on them simply being relegated at 3/1. Should have had the courage of my convictions and gone all in with the house deposit money.
  16. RICE?
  17. Bournemouth entered administration 7 Feb 2008 West Ham United entered administration 12 September 2008 Portsmouth in the financial brown stuff Southampton entered administration April 2009 Portsmouth in the financial brown stuff Tottenham Hotspur...................................... Spurs fans should be sh**ing themselves
  18. Any anybody suggested a motive yet?
  19. Is there any club that Harry Red***** has managed that hasn't (with varying periods of separation) subsequently gone into administration?
  20. I take it this isn't as repetitive as the last one. Although initially blown away I gave up trying to complete it
  21. ***Cough*** Thief ***Cough***
  22. "Due to the adverse weather conditions our account has been frozen?" I'll get my coat.
  23. A very valid point IMO. Ensuring that football debts are repaid in full means that there is less available for the other non-secured creditors. Those that lose out are more likely to be smaller businesses which are less able to afford it. Ultimately, if football clubs aren't prepared to take the risk that another club will be unable to pay them then they shouldn't sell on credit. All IMO of course.
  24. Although possibly a bit petty on my part I think you mean "Comical Ali". Chemical Ali was a different, much less amusing and thoroughly unpleasant individual. Comical Ali Chemical Ali
  25. She has a claim for her unpaid wages of £400 and also for any accrued holiday pay (although if her holiday year ran from Jan to Dec and she had used it all this won't make any odds). The claim is preferential (and not after HMRC) however rather than wait in line for the liquidation to be concluded she can make a claim from the Redundancy Payments Pffice (i.e. Mr. Darling) who will pay her and then wait to be repaid by the liquitator. We have a separate team who deal with these claims so I couldn't give you a link to a claim form straight away but the liquidator (whoever it is) would need to complete part of the form and so is better placed to help her anyway.
