I stand corrected. My bad.

It astounds me that he makes these statements (seemingly) without any regard for his ability to actually deliver. That any poopey fan listens to a word he says is farcical.

"Al Fahim also said work to transform Fratton Park into a 32,000-seater stadium was due to begin in March." Oh for goodness sake. When will this guy learn to shut up with the idle promises?
-
Me too. I doubt anybody on here would consider it acceptable if they lent £50 to a friend only for the friend to turn around later and tell them that they were able to pay them back but wouldn't. This is morally no different to borrowing £x from a bank and then using a loophole to avoid paying it back.

FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics

And so you should keep the team talks varied/consistent/who knows? -
Dr Al's lastest quote: “They want me to play a wider role in developing the club, so it is something I am considering. I have always said I will be interested in increasing my shareholding because I believe in the future of the club, so will see." WTF?! He's only just sold 90% becuase he didn't hav any money and the group he was selling to supposedly did. Also refinancing based (yet again) on future tv revenue isn't going to help in anything other than the short term (i.e. during the course of December). tick tock.

For those of you that have made it through to the PL at what stage did you drop the "stars" of the team you started with. I've finally managed to put together a blinging first season. Finished 1st with 105 points, 10 points clear of dirty leeds. Would have been 115 and 20 without the -10! The championship is clearly a harder test. I think Morgan looks like PL material as does Zaki but doubt that Saga and Lambert are going to have what it takes to get me up again. -
Congratulations

Battersea Rise opposite the bars. Hopefully moving soon though... might have to change my name on here. Have seen quite a few saints shirts around here over the years.

Doing it anyway though right? -
If you're on PS3 or X-box you could rent it for a weekend prior to buying...

Yep. Love fallout to. It isn't first person. More party based. I'm 13% complete. 30% of the world explored and (gulp!) 22 hours played. Although that 22 propably includes about 2-3 hours where I've left it paused whilst I chat with the mrs/eat etc. Very very easy to turn it on "just for a bit" and not realise that 4 hours ave passed. Being stuck at home with a bandaged ankle may also have something to do with it.

I was about to write a similar reply but I think my feelings on this can be summed up by a simple +1...

One of the scary things about this game (and many newer ones now) is the recording of how long you have spent playing and how far through the game you are. If the Mrs ever sees the stats (or thouse for COD) I'm in trouble . Sadly being an accountant who likes computer games doesn't do much to raise your profile in the "cool" stakes. How I ever pulled I have no idea. She blames it on the booze I think. Where in Clapham are you BTW?
-
Got it on the PC. Love it. But then I am a bit of a loser when it come to these types of games. If the Mrs sees me playing and getting into the story she just shakes her head disparingly.

Does anybody know how many millions Leon is/was worth? I suspect he has lost a large chunk as a result of this.

Mark Fry (Begbies Traynor) given award

If you (as an individual) wanted to sell a business that you owned, or your house for that matter, you would want bidders to think that you had other interested parties wouldn't you. An administrator looking to sell a business isn't any different from anybody else in this regard. Going as far as to invent a "ghost" consortium, release press statements, find fake spokesmen etc would be a little OTT though. Also if it didn't work would result is a dent to your reputation when found out as it would have 1) cost a bit to do and 2) make you look a little silly. -

Given that Southampton Lesiure Holdings had breached its various Banking covenants they would have needed to file some documents at court but this wouldn't have been difiult contentious. It was the directors that placed the company into administration. That is a matter of fact rather than opinion and is recorded at Companies House and should be stated in documents received by shareholders. It is however entirely possible that the directors only did so under legal advise to protct thei own (personal) possitions after a QFC gave them an "if you don't we will" ultimatum. I think that's a bit of a leap of faith. It is much more likely that they were introduced by the either Barclays or Aviva. QFC's Barclays and AVIVA would have had the right to trump any administrator proposed by the directors that they were not happy with. Shareholders (of which there are some on here) should have received a copy of the administratos proposals whch will state the basis of remuneration. I'd be amazed if it wasn't "time costs". Of course fees are paid from the collective pot and so if Fry didn't make a sale there would be nothing in the pot from which he could be paid any fees... I'm not sure what criteria these awards are judged upon but people shouldn't forget that success in this case doesn't necessarily just mean the company who's customers were happiest. -

Is there a way to request that the board riase some money for you secured against the next 10 years tv revenue? -
I would trawl through some stats and see if you can find a good example of a pro with bucket loads of assists but far fewer goals as an example of his role in the team. I would suggest not using Heskey but you get the idea...

My guess would be that 1) there wasn't enough money in the account to pay the wages at the time (no big shock) 2) the "new investors" were prepared to put the money in to pay the wages 3) the relationship with the bank is such that they weren't confident that if they paid money into the club's bank account that the bank would then allow the payment out again to go through On the face of it, now a good sign however as has been explained already it is all just part of the "restructuring" and is nothing to wory about.

Am b*ggered if I can find the editor. Downloaded the game through steam. Anybody point me in the right direction?
