Perfect. Everything I wanted to know. (Also any more detail and my lack of understadning would have kicked in)

Agreed. I have visions of them being back down to 12 senior players for a moment though.

Hadn't thought of that... Hello fat lady.

When do you think you'll next play there?

Depends if they ask you to confirm that you qualify during the sales process. I imagine it is included within the terms and conditions. If not i suspect that "technically" they would be breaching the terms of their agreement with microsoft rather than a purchaser breaching anything. That said I'm not a lawyer.

could the ultimate update be applied to a verion of vista home?

When are the next wages due? Is it the last Thursday of the month (as I seem to recal from last month) i.e. tomorrow?

Although there are a few saints shirts around Clapham.

"The Portsmouth chairman, Sulaiman al-Fahim, insists there will be no sale of his 10% shareholding at Fratton Park to the club's new owner, Ali al-Faraj, even if the 32-year-old were to be offered twice their value, around £10m." Um.... 10% of the skates is not worth £10m! 10% x £0 = £0

So... 1) Over the course of the next few years you might be able to get faster running versions of programs/games that will only work on a 64 bit system. Unlikely though that things will only be released in 64 bit for a while. 2) If you want to run multiple 32 bit programs then a 64 bit system will handle it better. Cheers Baj.

Sooner or later the are going to have to pay these loans back. If they are not generating enough cash to repay the current set then further loans are not going to help. Especially if they are only short term.

Yes I understand that the processor is faster and can do more things at once but is the software actually any different? I'm assuming that the main difference is that it allows utilisation of more RAM but is that it?

Is it also only the processor which dictates whether the 64 bit version will run or do you need anything else?
-
Without wanting to come across as too much of an IT moron can somebody explain the difference to me. I understand (I think) that a 32 bit processor isn't able to run the 64 bit windows 7 but have no idea as to the implications. What makes the 64 bit version better, if anything?

I know some people don't like steam but if time is an issue you could buy it on steam and download on release day. Would cost a little more though... -
He wasn't offside from the initial cross but was (more importantly) from the knock on. IMO

Pure speculation on my part but given the twists and turns and "unclear" financial transactions so far... Are these new "new investors" actually lending money nto the club or having sued gaydamak's father has a "debt arrisen" with no cash actually coming in? I would have said that this would be too far fetched to be true but...

Thanks Baj. I'm cofortable with the outsourcing. Its just the asking for my card details again and the very (very) slow to load site coupled with the bad english in the e-mail which has spooked me. The company name matches etc but woud it have to be quite elaborate to be a bogus site? It is a company based in singapore which might explain the english...

I have just tried loggin into the account through the original e-mail (1) that I received and it also says that my payment is pending resubmit... I guess its probably ok then?

... or am I just being really paraniod? I bought a new Packard Bell machine a few months ago knowing that I would get a "free" upgrade to windows 7 when it was released. Was a bit f***ed off when the "free" upgrade required a £19.90 "shipping charge" but there you go. Packard Bell's Windows 7 upgrades are also being handled by a third party. Anyway when I first registered I thik that I gave them my credit card details and I got the 1st of the e-mails below. Today I got e-mail 2 asking me to resubmit my credit card details but the english in the e-mail isn't that great. If I log in to check my order status it says "pending payment resubmit" but my bank hasn't blocked anything and no payment has yet been taken. As I'm sure I already gave my card details and the english isn;t great I'm worried that this is a phishing excersise of some sort but if it is then they have by name, address, e-mail address and phone number already (as they come up when I click the link). Am I just being way over paranoid? Has anybody else had anything similar? The Packard Bell web forum is currently down for maintenance and their customer support chap's english wasn't good enough to understand the problem (his only suggestion was to give me a number for microsoft). E-mail 1 Dear XXXX, Thank you for your order! Your credit card will be charged GBP 19.90 only when the upgrade kit is shipped. The price shown is inclusive of shipping charges. All orders received will be collected and held for processing until the Windows 7 release date (currently estimated for October 2009 but is subjected to change). Orders will be processed in the order they were received. You will receive another notification when the order is shipped.
