He is not a left back..He is better on the ground than given credit for....He hoofs like any good defender when he has too..... At the mo, not in the same mould as the Jaidi type but a work in progress....:smt023 Spent most of his days alongside a stopper Centre Half Matt Taylor (no pace) at Exeter but could still do a job......For now unless something wrong with Jaidi then would cover the CBs..... I mentioned before about him going back on loan.. This is probably not going to happen if all the talk is right.. He will not let us down and can mix it when required......Lot of talk re transfer and contract proposals..game of chess but when it comes to the crunch he with Taylor was Exeter first choice. Left side of two or three CB..Not Left back like Harding, Mills, Vignal, Bridge... A....CB Good luck to him at Saints.....In Pards and staff etc.....

Length of deal may be a sticking point..Structure of deal and wages with player/agent. Club would want longer....Maybe the 18 months alleged is good for player as a get out if we do not move up...course we will... Just a thought.....Fonte signed 3 and half and that is about what Saints would want from Ward..If he is to sign....More negotiations.

My wife can confirm that and corroborated by the fact I support Saints along with you. Like you and many others on this forum I have chosen many players for Saints over the years...nearly everytime the experts have ignored me..thank goodness.....I know I am right about Messi ...I think..

Very promising Centre Back left side... Quite good in the air and very competent when playing the ball on the ground......Not really a left back although he can play there. If playing the three CB would be left side. He has has at Exeter, a very good CB in Matt Taylor (NO PACE) who attacks most balls and has been the more dominant of the two AS sEABORNE SWEEPS AND PLAYS THE BALL OU ALA fONTE..As stated his contract is almost up and would cost the 200 grand they talk of. I have seen him play a dozen or more games including when captain of the side at Wembley play off 1-0 v Cambridge...He has come up through the side from youth level having had several loans out. Like Olly lots of potential but a year or so more experience. even though only 22 yrs. Not out of his depth in the Div 1 with any of the strikers...I saw him and Taylor play that rough house.. Holt, very well in a 1-1 at Exeter earlier in the season. After Norwich had played Yeovil midweek and Gunn was sacked. Has to be said Norwich have improved a hundred fold since. My own view definitely one for the future......But would LOAN HIM BACK for the remainder of the season..although my earlier view was that Olly Lancs would go on loan to Exeter. Tisdale rates this lad and if true so does someone at Saints?...Norwich ie Lambert OBVIOUSLY rates Whitbread more so than Seaborne. In my view you could get away with Seaborne playing alongside Jaidi/WARD (IF ONLY) but probably not alongside Fonte..too similar. Are we really going to buy him?

Derby were right about Holmes IMHO..But take your point... I will still fully recomend Ed Asafu-Adjaye age 20/21 RB Luton against Saints...Had not played for 3/4 weeks..Played very well... Also plays along back four although only 5'11" REMARKABLE IN THE AIR. Great speed.. I see him as a Saints RB and cover for Left side..Also brilliant in the JPT Wembley final...... Deserves at least closer look by Saints ( whilst having second look at Craddock..striker)as OTHER ccc clubs about to pounce for Asafu.... Hope Saints are at least getting a second look. COYRs

There will be rotation ..particularly regarding Jaidi and Connolly. (some games even the three at the back) Fonte can also play midfield anchor in front of Jaidi and Ward (if it is on) Harding definitely Left Full back or W fb..Murty when fit RB cover by James and the emerging Argent. Lallana, Danns, Stock, Hammond, Spiderman, James, Gobern.....Some suspensions/injuries and Spiderman used sensibly etc. (if Danns and Stock arrive) Lambert and Connolly...Waigo and Antonio..covering up front and used wide etc....I still rate Paterson to cover as well.

RE..NC..The tracksuit and team talks would be a guide that he was going down the wrong line;).....God forbid.. if this happened... I will walk to St Marys and take his (NC) tracksuit/gold initials and all/ china graph pen and tactics board from him........ Most on here love the team and want football but need lots of wins/points even more so.....when it comes to it ..most do not really care anymore about Rupert.. he is history..thank God..
