How many games has he played this season? Very few......Worries me when a player is 32/33 and missing so many games.. He may turn out to be a blinding signing..but a big punt when he is on..at a guess £30, 000 a week and still a couple of years on his contract...maybe why such a small fee mentioned...Stoke want to off load? Never a great turn of pace and struggled when called in by Stoke... If true NA/staff have confidence in his fitness and a big pre season to make our team...... For me Jos , Fonte , Martin withthe addition of Jack Hobbs from Hull and one other ....

Looks like Hayling Island is the intended destination for the pre season tour this summer.. In readiness for the Wessex league .. I am led to believe this is due to a very wealthy benefactor who resides there and is champing at the bit to get involved with Pompey again;) He wants to remain anonymous at this stage due to Saints fans too readily taking the piiish:D
