  1. Yeah. Much more likely of the 2. Any idea why Macca wasn't playing yesterday? - Not 1 of your 3 outs is he?
  2. The McCarthy link was shot down earlier in the season. Forster was linked by the Daily Mail but without any real substance more recently.
  3. This is very true! I'd forgotten the 6 year thing.
  4. I still don't believe this is true. At all. But....
  5. Talk in France & seemingly confirmed at the Watford end that Everton bid £32m for Abdoulaye Doucoure. Would be a much better signing than Lemina but a much harder player to sign whereas we're desperate to sell Mario. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/17814862.watford-reject-everton-bid-abdoulaye-doucoure/
  6. I can only assume the Besiktas scout reports just said "He was good 18 months ago". Each deal is different. I would imagine that they would be able to pay a good chunk of his wages at the very least. We're so top heavy with players now & with the window winding down, just the savings on wages will be a bonus at this rate.
  7. Brighton to move for Maupay?
  8. I agree, unless this is the only way we can bring somebody in better than what we have due to finances.
  9. Alan Nixon reporting Burnley have failed on a part-ex bid for Kalvin Phillips at Leeds. Expected to go back in again. Doesn’t seem like a Burnley type of player.
  10. Barca. 19. Centre-back. On loan? https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/08/04/report-southampton-want-barcelona-defender-jean-clair-todibo/
  11. Maybe we spoke too soon, Clarkey? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7317833/Everton-news-Boss-Marco-Silva-urges-board-splash-cash-transfer-window-slams-shut.html
  12. Where did this come from?
  13. Would have to assume it's something like the Lemina deal (or similar) for us to bring in 2 players & like LeG said, the incoming could be a loan with an obligation to buy like the Ings deal. We shall see. Fingers-crossed Ross can work some magic.
  14. Minor surgery on his leg.
  15. No, but Ipswich will.
  16. Loans or permanents?
  17. I assume if it’s an obligation to buy then we can budget it.
  18. Brighton sign Webster for £20m.
  19. Leg injury. Minor procedure to fix according to the OS.
  20. Think we’d be happy with our money back at this stage.
  21. The full-story indicates an obligation for a "loan with mandatory purchase option", I believe.

  23. Fenerbahce were linked in early June too. What we need is for him to actually perform when he goes.
  24. Signing championship players has always been a good idea. Clyne & J-Rod were 2 great examples of this for us. I bet Bowen was on our list, but just not high up the priority list anymore.
