He was already "Technical Director" so not sure why he was the U-23 coach. We do tend to change our job titles quite a bit. I see Ross Wilson is now "Director of Football Operations".

Brighton are very quietly creeping up the net spend charts.

Certainly an inevitability about this move. I always wanted him to do well, but remember our Dutch friends wondering about his physical attributes in the Prem being an issue. I wasn't just his stature that was an issue, it was more his cardio levels. We never seemed to improve them over time either. I expect to see him do well in Spain or Italy, maybe even Turkey or Germany. Hopefully he gets a permanent move.

The club would never go into a season with 3 strikers.....................................................

Can't help but feel this confirms what good value we got for Gabbi.

I don't really have too much of an issue with him going there. Reports up there seemed to think that Derby wanted him on a permanent deal only & we were worried about game-time for him at the other places. Brum definitely need players & I'm expecting an influx later this window. Wherever he plays the most suits me. Decent sized club, with good ambitions.

I remember Adam Blackmore randomly saying he met Fonte on the train one day, and Jose showed him an email string from the club & hinted that the club didn't exactly handle themselves greatly all the time.
