Relegated Teams - Players who would you buy from their Squads?
SuperSAINT replied to le_tiss's topic in The Saints
It's interesting when I watched some of the highlights from the championship games last weekend just how many players they were all able to retain. -
Duly noted. #ITK_Watch

Monk really liked him and wanted us to sign him.

Didn't Alan Nixon 1st link us with Alex McCarthy? (But in the same article had is linked with Bastien at Anderlecht, which seems to have gone quiet.

EVERTON IN FOR KONE Sky sources understand Sunderland defender Lamine Kone is this morning on Merseyside as negotiations continue over a potential move to Everton. One source has told us Everton placed the bid of £18m more than a week ago – however our sources at Sunderland have denied any bid has been received. We can trace the issues back to the departure of Sam Allardyce, who it is suggested had agreed to improve the central defender’s contract if Sunderland survived relegation. However the arrival of David Moyes has meant priorities have shifted and a new offer has not been forthcoming.

I think there's an inevitable panic from Everton with the close of the window drawing near. That Kone profit (after half a season) is good - even by our standards! Will be interesting to see if they go into over-drive now the Stones money is imminent. I think I'm still a little more worried over a Fonte move to Utd at the moment, rather than Everton.

Imagine Everton fans will be even more unbearable after that's done.

Good article and says we need a more creativity & fire power, so I agree with it entirely

The New Formation Thread : The Puel 4-4-2 Diamond
SuperSAINT replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Unsure if this is new or just a re-mix of old articles: https://www.premierleague.com/news/68266 -
Jack Sullivan just tweeted that West Ham have signed Andre Ayew for £20.5m. Then deleted it.
-
Bertrand was a legendary one too. There was NOTHING anywhere about it.

Didn't Nice under Puel press quite high up the pitch? Assuming Watford do play 3 at the back at the weekend, and try and build it from the back, we might be able to get some joy winning the ball high up the pitch.
