It just seems like such a waste of last season. I can't imagine prospective new owners can be pleased with being shut out whilst the current owners that want to leave start spending money on players. (Assuming they do!)

I recall one of our ITK friends reported that Osvaldo was a 'gift' for Poch & that funds for a centre-back went into that deal (hence us having to get Vegard Forren instead). It's arguable that didn't work out so well on either front

I'd say Targett gets the nod. As for Berty, I'm sure he'll be back sooner rather than later. Didn't we fast track him back into action last season too? I seem to recall him being out for a chunk of the beginning of last season, then he suddenly played in a reserve game and was then thrown straight into the 1st team.

It might have even been more than that.

WEST BROM WANT IGHALO West Brom are interested in signing Watford striker Odion Ighalo before the transfer window shuts, according to Sky sources. The Baggies want to bring in a new striker before allowing Saido Berahino to leave the club and they tried to sign West Ham's Diafra Sakho last week. Sakho was ready to join the West Midlands club but failed a medical and the deal fell through, leaving West Brom to move on to other targets, of which Ighalo is one.

I seem to recall reading that the new Watford coach favours 3 at the back, so will be interesting to see how the diamond does against that system.
