^ These guys re-tweeted a Dutch video (that won't play in this country) with somebody from Twente confirming it. #ZiyechWatch

They've probably realised who we are and now want a 50% sell on

I remember the name from earlier this summer. 6'2" tall. 22 year old centre-back. Source: http://sportwitness.co.uk/southampton-officials-portugal-possible-transfer-reported-portuguese-press/?

Nixon was saying earlier that there's been a hitch over the fee.

SAINTS IN McCARTHY TALKS Southampton are in talks with Crystal Palace over a deal for goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, Sky sources understand. No deal has been agreed but we understand the player would be keen on the move to St. Mary's. Southampton are looking for a keeper to replace Martin Stekelenburg, who joined Everton this summer. Palace, meanwhile, have already signed Steve Mandanda this summer to compete with Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni.

Correct mate I've just got in from work so my own #ZiyechWatch has failed so far.

Fair play to them on that one.

STOKE KEEN ON BERAHINO Stoke chairman Peter Coates says the club are still keen on signing West Brom striker Saido Berahino. The Potters and Crystal Palace both have bids on the table for around £20m. “We’re after that elusive striker everyone is looking for,” Coates told talkSPORT. “Players like to see new faces and the club moving on. Although it might affect their position, they still want to feel you’re improving. “[saido Berahino] is on our list. We would like to do something. We’re in the hands of the player and West Bromwich Albion at the minute and we’re working away on it. We would like to take him if a deal can be done.”

BRAD SMITH SIGNS FOR BOURNEMOUTH Liverpool defender Brad Smith has joined Bournemouth for undisclosed fee. He has signed a four year contract and we understand that including add-ons and bonuses, the deal could reach £6m.

Why is it a bad thing to be signing a highly rated kid? This is surely what we want?! I think it's great news.
-
Yeah, he's only 19. Obviously strengthening our team for the JPT run at Wembley

Praet scouting report from 1 year ago, if anybody wants a refresher. http://www.espnfc.co.uk/blog/scouts-notebook/78/post/2515395/dennis-praet-skill-set-making-europes-elite-take-notice

Surely Arsenal have been looking for a top centre back anyway?
-
From a positional sense, Praet makes the most sense. I think Tielemans is deeper lying. Praet fits the profile as I believe his contract has a year to run so we might be able to get him for less ££'s. His YouTube clips aren't quite as rock & roll as Ziyech, but he looks a fine player. I'd expect the Belgian media to be all over this if it is true.
-
This is true! Calum Chambers seemed to vanish off to Arsenal during a friendly! The nearest thing to Football Manager in real life is West Ham's striker hunt.

I'll be interested to see how Gueye does if he goes to Everton. Certainly had the stats in his favour last season. I still can't decide if looking decent in that Villa side last season is either a miracle or not that hard to achieve. Fortunately for them, he was sh*te at the Euro's.

ARNAUTOVIC WILLING TO STAY Marko Arnautovic intends to see out the forthcoming season at Stoke despite reported interest in him from Everton, according to Sky sources. Sky in Austria have said the 27-year-old, who scored 12 goals for Mark Hughes' side last season, is close to moving to Goodison Park. It is understood, however, the player wishes to remain at the Bet365 Stadium for the foreseeable future - even if Everton boss Ronald Koeman does make a move to take him to Merseyside. Arnautovic has 12 months left of his present deal and would be available on a free transfer next summer but Stoke have offered him a new four-year contract.
