Certainly agree with you on Alfie. Isgrove is now 23 and he's already showed decent glimpses at Barnsley - That's where he should be looking now IMO. Sam McQueen & Sam Gallagher need a really good loan spell out somewhere next season IMO.

The New Formation Thread : The Puel 4-4-2 Diamond
SuperSAINT replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Yes, but this entirely depends on whether we want to have different options for different formations. Boufal is a "No.10", but on the flip-side - Tadic is left wing & Redmond is right wing - So we would be making ourselves stronger. -

Agree with you on Berahino. Suits this system MUCH more than 4-2-3-1. I still wonder if we're quietly biding our time with Boufal. The delay could simply be giving his injury the most time to heal. It's always hard to decipher who actually wants him - Arsenal/Chelsea/Spurs mentioned, but only Watford have seemingly made the only concrete offer. -
Nearly all of the players have spoken about it in interviews, but I've seen very little of the friendlies & so I was looking for opinions on the new system. It's very early days, but I'm interested in what people have made of it so far? How's it looking? Who has impressed? Who suits it? Who doesn't?

Saint Charlie would have liked him.

SAINTS IN McCARTHY TALKS Southampton are in talks with Crystal Palace over a deal for goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, Sky sources understand. No deal has been agreed but we understand the player would be keen on the move to St. Mary's. Southampton are looking for a keeper to replace Martin Stekelenburg, who joined Everton this summer. Palace, meanwhile, have already signed Steve Mandanda this summer to compete with Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni.

STOKE KEEN ON BERAHINO Stoke chairman Peter Coates says the club are still keen on signing West Brom striker Saido Berahino. The Potters and Crystal Palace both have bids on the table for around £20m. “We’re after that elusive striker everyone is looking for,” Coates told talkSPORT. “Players like to see new faces and the club moving on. Although it might affect their position, they still want to feel you’re improving. “[saido Berahino] is on our list. We would like to do something. We’re in the hands of the player and West Bromwich Albion at the minute and we’re working away on it. We would like to take him if a deal can be done.”
