What's your reasoning? Just curious.

Thought I'd bump an old thread up. Does anyone know how he's getting on? Did he just stay behind to work on fitness at Staplewood? Or has he had a set-back?
-
He's worth whatever they want to pay, I guess. It's expensive for a year left on his contract but Liverpool know a few teams want him so I suppose it drives his price up. He had a good euros and is only 26.

Were linked to him a couple of seasons ago too. I assume there's nothing in it as he's a defensive midfielder.

Oh yeah! - I posted a random link to that the Talisca deal a while ago and completely forgot about it. Does FFP not exist in the championship anymore?
-
& loan him straight back to Walsall? I'd be OK with that.

I suppose it depends on the reason for the breakdown. Is he injured now?

BORO'S SUBOTIC DEAL COLLAPSES Middlesbrough's pursuit of Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic has broken down, and the defender will travel back to Germany, Sky sources understand. Boro had agreed a fee of around £8m with Dortmund for the Serbia international and he was shown around the club's facilities nearly two weeks ago. Aitor Karanka had hoped Subotic would join up with his squad on their pre-season training camp in Marbella but that is now unlikely to happen.

WATFORD NEAR DJA DJEDJE DEAL Watford are close to signing Marseille defender Brice Dja Djedje, according to Sky sources. A fee of around £2m has been agreed between the clubs. Djedje will discuss personal terms and undertake a medical, with the Hornets hoping to conclude the deal this week.

Yeah, I much prefer the contracts that just get announced. The ones where the Agent starts talking don't normally end well.

CITY IN FOR OXFORD Sky sources understand Manchester City have made an official approach for West Ham midfielder Reece Oxford. Oxford, who is contracted to West Ham until 2018, made his first-team debut at the age of 16, starring in West Ham's opening-day 2-0 win at Arsenal last season. The England U-19 international has since played a further 11 games for Slaven Bilic's side and is viewed as the club's brightest young prospect. West Ham are thought to be only considering bids above £10m for Oxford, who rejected a new deal at the club earlier this summer.
