I'd agree on certain kits actually. I was specifically thinking about last season's green one - that looked much better in person.

The evolution of our new kit is often: 1) Seeing cool fan-designs and getting hopes up. 2) Seeing a leaked image of something that can't be real because the fan designs are much better. 3) Finding out the leaked image is real. 4) Mass hysteria. 5) The new design looking better in person & growing on you.

I wonder what Eric Black thought about Gueye. By all accounts, he seemed one of the few Villa players to get any credit from last season.

For somebody who played & coached exclusively in France, his English is very impressive IMO.

Think he did fine. Really intrigued to see how he gets on this coming season under a new manager as he's one of the genuine "Ronald signings" that we made. Will be interesting to see how Claude can develop him (as he was a diminutive defensive-midfielder himself).
