McCarthy is an awful, awful keeper. Ralph's blindness to him may well prove his ultimate undoing. And the idiots at the club want to give McCarthy a new contract? In the cold hard world of professional football it's an insane decision.

Without regurgitating the keeper debate, but I’m going to anyway, I just feel McCarthy is too passive , when Forster plays he’s always shouting out instructions to the defence and I feel we play better as a result. Another on a long list of baffling Ralph decisions imo.

We're paying him sky high wages and he's a shadow of the player he used to be , the play dies at his feet every single time, Can't pass, can't shoot and can't even use his pace like he used to. Can we criticize him yet? Scored on his debut against Everton, fluffed his lines against United and hasn’t looked like scoring since. Don’t know where our goals are coming from , at least with Adams and Armstrong we have a ready made strike pair for the championship next season.

When we start Redmond we know how the game will go , if anyone epitomizes the malaise and ineffectiveness in our forward play it’s Redmond. I shudder when I see him starting. He’s not good enough.

So we’ve dropped Salisu who has been arguably our best player , not played Broja who looked quality, stuck with Redmond who was utter gash, and we’re playing a right back at left back again. Ralph you’re not helping yourself man.

So how do we think Saints are going to get on this season. I have to admit I am very worried this season. I think we are potentially worse than last season and we struggled mightily, if we get a couple of injuries then our threadbare squad will be thrown to the wolves. So my prediction, Unless we can add 2 or 3 quality signings before the end of the window and based on the current squad 18th.
