We didn't spend any money last year when we had the clubs best ever chance of chasing a champions league spot, So don't think this year will be any different.

It was a winnable tie last year as well, but we still managed to **** it up.

I still feel Gaston hasn't been given a full crack of the whip, I think he is a player that could benefit from the Alan Ball treatment of Le Tiss. And people here slag him off , but are happy to see Ward-Prowse who does nothing int he squad each week.

Baffling that Ramirez still can't get a look in amongst some of the most inept saints midfield displays ever. We are 3-1 down in a cup tie and all we can bring on is ward prowse and long... End result 1-6. They offer nothing from the bench, at least Ramirez in his ten minutes at anfield this season showed more than ward-prowse has done in his entire saints career.

Great Romeu, when we are 5-1 down.

So 5 months into the season, and our squad looks full of deadwood and dreadful players. I stick by my initial assessment thar our summer was wasted and we spent too much money on mediocrity . The scouting certainly seems to have failed this summer.

well that's game over. Yet again we choke in the latter stages of a cup match. Stekelenburg has to do better there.

It's ok our bench is packed with quality. Romeu, ward-prowse, Martina, yoshida, long, gazzaniga.. Why no Ramirez? Or even a couple of the youngsters, gotta be better than that gash.
