Ho, Ho, ho Coppell should give his 76 losers medal a polish tonight. But after every decent away result - we always follow it up with a complete arse up @ home. I know its a cliche - but this means jack if we don't beat Plymouth.
-
All that matters now is that we finish above that dotted line. The only player I can see leaving is Lallana. I wouldn't worry about anyone else being any good that other teams will come in for them.
-
Its Pingpong or something. The squad numbers of the whole team add up to 593. Thats an average number of 32 a man.
-
This 7 subs thing is a bit mad. Arsenal have a dude on the bench with squad number 56 !
-
I also think its a bit odd. He hasn't played the last 2 games. He hasn't played any Carling Cup games so far because they don't think he can do 2 games in a week. So are they expecting him to play the full 90 tonight and again at Donny on Saturday? Will Cope has just said on the Radio: "I asked him how it was going and he [Killer] said: "I'll train when I can and I'll play when I can"". A statement like that doesn't fill me with confidence.

Use the filter function for PREM or SKY. Its quite neat all typed up instead of on the 20+ bits of paper I had it on. You can also isolate teams, like Liverpool who we have a really good record against.

It is EVERY Saints game that has been shown LIVE on TV by a UK based Broadcaster (no dodgy scandanavian channels). Starting from 76 Cup Final to QPR on Sunday There is no game missing, though I nearly forgot the Wimbledon 0-1 in 97 cos it was so awful. I was there and only remembered it was on Sky because of a picture on the back of the Season Review video.

edit - I missed a game didn't I? Thankfully no one spotted. It was the desperate 1-3 home defeat to Watford when Madsen scored a meaningless consolation... Must have been bad cos I totally forgot about it. Updated version below including Coventry game. Months late, months making, months spent watching every Season Review video/DVD and cross referencing every game with ITN. http://www.ziddu.com/download/2330502/saintsTVguide.xls.html Home games Away games Neutral venue It was my intention to debunk the "We always lose on TV myth" and even though the final stats read: PLD W D L FA AG +/- 124 43 25 56 152 181 -29 I still think that is a reasonable record considering we were traditional Prem stugglers and now CCC strugglers. The fact we have only won 3 of 15 since relegation is probably the reason everyone thinks we lose on TV. Couple of points: Claus testiomonial is included cos it was played in a competitive spirit. If it had been a MLT 7-7 affair it wouldn't have been. Derby 2nd leg is counted as a 3-2 LOSS. I know its the team that scores the most goals wins, but who came out of Pride Park that night thinking: "What a great win that was." If I was doing Man U (imagine that!?) with loads of European 2 legs to look at, I might have thought differently... Enjoy folks and yes, I have no life;)

I watched the game with my Bro who is a QPR fan and it was a very odd experience. Credit to him for not going too mental, even though I went quite mental when Lallana scored. He thought we played excellent football and at times outclassed QPR even with 10 men. He was also emabarrassed to celebrate QPRs second goal once he saw the replay. It did change the match. We had to chase it after that. Lancashire, my first impression was: "He's off" which probably means it was the right decision. A bit off me thought the ref might have given him the benefit of the doubt. Debut, only 30 mins, attacker not really going anywhere... But I wasn't really surprised to see the red card. I think the reason Lancashire played instead of Perry is cos they were worried about QPRs hight from set plays. I think Wotton did OK when he got sent back there. They were just unlucky, even the SKY dudes knew that, but as my bro also pointed out: Theres been plenty of unlucky teams who got relegated.

Hartlepool or Rotherham away.

That 'McGovern' tipster in the Daily Mirror made Oldham to beat Burnley his Tip of the Day at 3/1. Makes sense on paper. Burnley awful - couldn't even score against 9 men. Oldham flying - murdered Leeds away. Burnley 3 - Oldham 0 Stay well away from the Carling Cup punters...
-
Not many shocks. Only Leeds (v Palace) and Northampton (v Bolton) are leading teams above them. Oh, and Derby leading Preston probably counts as a massive shock...
-
Accas on Carling Cup should come with a health warning... You just can't tell if whoever you back is going to be up for it. The Bolton team looks pretty strong as well.

I checked the results at Ladbrokes.com and they have paid on McGoldrick at 8s. From 'Terms and Conditions' Ladbrokes.com: "Where there is a dispute concerning who scored the goals in a match, bets will be settled based on the decision of the Press Association (PA) immediately the match is finished. If the PA amends their decision after this period, all bets will stand on their original result. If the result is not immediately available from the PA, the result published by the official governing body immediately the match/event is finished will be used for settling purposes. Any subsequent corrections or amendments to this result will not apply for settlement purposes."

Woo Hoo! Got 0-2 on the Prediction League. Just chill boys. Take it easy.

When I play Pro Evo Soccer on the Playstation I can beat teams 6-0 but hardly ever have more possession than them...
-
Steve Basham is on. Anyone at Blackburn when he scored?
-
Its a strong Derby team as well. Carrol, Mears, Albracson, Davis, McEverly, Savage, Commons, Green, Davies, Ellington, Hulse. Probably most of them would be expected to start against us.
-
Does anyone know if this round is split into North / South like last season? Its just that Shrewsbury v Carlisle and Wallsall v Darlington look a bit harsh. Luton v Plymouth would be horrible for the Plymouth fans (but then again most of their away trips are like that).

Can't remember if it was SSN or ITV but he is doing that Emma Rigby out of Hollyoaks... Lucky b'stard... (even if she has a bit of a funny shaped face).
