  1. No that just means they are playing for themselves rather than the club they'll end up trying to do things that make them look good rather than what's good for the team (trying stupid shots when a team mate is open in a better position and such like).
  2. No Loans. In a relegation battle you need committed players human nature means loan players just won't care enough to be really committed imo.
  3. unlucky would be having a perfectly good goal ruled offside in a cup final.....
  4. its hard to make comparisons like that though because Mane was two summers ago and football player transfer inflation seems to go up with every transfer and has gone through the roof since Mane was sold (and he would be worth loads more than 35mil if he was sold tomorrow) . At the end of the day if Walcott comes in and scores the goals to keep us up its money well spent.
  5. We were better than them at SMS early in the season to. Utd ended up with like 5CBs and 3 DMs by the end of that game to squeak a 0-1. Both games against Utd this season could have been saints wins if we had more proficient attacking options.
  6. bollix I watched him loads last season and he was terrible second half of last season, despite plenty of playing time. His confidence was so shot by the end of last season he couldn't manage a 5 yard pass to a team mate. Taking him out of the team has totally the right thing to do and has played dividends. Fair play to Hoj to put in the effort to raise his game.
  7. Because he was dog turd last season (and pre-season) it seems a great bit of man management by MoPe to stick him in the under u23s it seems to have given Hoj the kick up the arse he needed to start performing.
  8. Take that any day.
  9. We'll our team spirit seems better already today without that **** hanging around the squad like a bad smell...
  10. On the plus side solent said I only have to stand through 8 more home games this season...
  11. Man u close already when are Bertrand and Cedric back? our defense is looking well dodgy.
  12. Hedge end 12s would give man u a better game than our shower of ****e these days expecting a thrashing.
  13. We are most likely battling relegation in the second half of the season so we need players committed to the cause neither of those two on loan would give a **** if we were relegated or not as it would have little effect on them.
  14. and who the hell could we realistically get, in our current predicament, who could do that then?
  15. you really think Sturridge would suddenly overcome his ****ty injury record and have the mental bollix to cope with fighting relegation with saints? would he ****?
  16. Yes any player we sign could get injured Sturridge on the other hand will, without a doubt, get injured does he really seem like the sort of player with the bottle for a relegation scrap..I don't think so. Theo might at least have a bit of affinity with saints to fight hard to stop us going down.
  17. Henrikh Mkhitaryan man U want 35 million apparently would finally give us the attacking midfielder we've been crying out for....won't happen of course.
  18. What are their injury records like both of them seem to have spent as much time injured as playing the last few seasons. If we are recruiting to survive the drop its a bigger risk to bring in known sick notes.
  19. Another one to take off the saints list (if he was actually on anyone's list). You have to wonder about the quality of managers available to sides making the change Moyes, Pardew, Carvalhal hardly inspiring makes you worried what we will end up with next. Swansea City confirm Carvalhal appointment Swansea City have named former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal as their new manager to replace the sacked Paul Clement on an initial deal until the end of the season. Clement was dismissed as Swansea boss earlier this month after a run of nine defeats in 11 matches left them bottom of the Premier League, with midfielder Leon Britton overseeing the last two games in caretaker charge. The Welsh club have now turned to Portuguese boss Carvalhal, who was dismissed by the Owls on Christmas Eve having claimed just six wins in the Championship this term. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/swansea-city-confirm-carvalhal-appointment/ar-BBHrtES?li=AA572I&ocid=spartandhp
  20. Clearly a good player but who knows how it will pan out. I thought Morgan was Class, I thought Clyne was class, I thought Shaw would go on to be a top top player, I thought Ox would have achieved more than he has you can never tell whether players have the mental side of the game to handle a big club move until they go. He could go on to be excellent for them and I wouldn't be surprised though if he goes on to be ****e I shall laugh my bollix off. good player massive dickhead.
  21. He loves VVD..
  22. really you are holding up Burnley up as some paragon of attacking football....
  23. Pretty much this.
  24. Well the summer was a massive waste of time then.... we might as well have just sold and strengthened the squad last summer and been in a better position now. I hope to god we have already spent the money on some quality players coming in on the 1st of Jan with a new manager. If we aren't investing the VVD cash back into the squad this Jan then a new manager will make no difference with the shower of ****e our squad has become.
  25. Surely 3? didn't Dean Wilkins fail to win a game in his short tenure as manager.
