The atmosphere at SMS is pretty toxic now it started the end of last season and it hasn't got any better this season we barely sing and the crowd just seemed resigned to us losing before the game starts now.
-
ha I thought we actual pressed a little more yesterday than we normally do. Were just **** at.
-
Well no doubt you were watching on the TV in France so you had the benefit of numerous slow motion replays as I said I only saw it for a few seconds in real time from the Itchen
-
Watching it live I thought he had every right to go for the ball as a striker and it was an accidental clash it didn't look deliberate from my view in SMS. I haven't watched any replays though so I may be of a different opinion seeing it in slow motion.

We missed three penalties in that bad run at the end of the season two of which would have arguably won us those games and given us 6 more points.
-
So what your saying in effect is Puel could be a good manager with a better squad like Leicester? so instead of sacking Puel maybe we should have improved the squad for him? There were enough of us pointing out the squad wasn't good enough last season but people wouldn't have it and yet different manager same squad and we are still ****. I wouldn't shed a tear if MoPe was sacked but nothing is really going to change until the squad gets an overhaul and some serious investment.
-
Becuase it would be really short sited by the owner he will get a lot more money in the long term by keeping our PL status so he needs to invest Inna squad that is clearly lacking in quality.
-
Ha there were enough of us pointing out how **** our forward players were last season. So we ditched the manager kept the same ****ty (Not that I think Austin is ****ty but playing a whole season seems like an impossibility for him) options upfront and low and behold we still can't score old manager goes to a club with a decent striker and quelle surprise he does a decent job should have kept Puel and bought Vardy....
-
Targett failed to stop any crosses today he got done every time they came down our left. Having said that we've conceded loads of poor goals this season a far cry from a few seasons back when our defence was so solid.
-
eh? we were far better in the first half and the goal certainly wasn't against the run of play. Second half we let them get back into it by dropping to deep which lead to their goal after that it was pretty even either side could have nicked it but the best chances in front of goal all belonged to saints today..
-
Taken in isolation I thought todays games was pretty entertaining and we were the better team we made some decent chances and we should have won really. It wasn't the best performance but without Cedric or Bertrand we struggled for width. Stephens and Targett just don't have the pace to be dangerous on the attack and couldn't afford to get forward to much because they couldn't recover fast enough. Not having decent attacking FBs is a big deal with the way we play. Players wise the two big disappointments were Tadic and Targett who were both poor today. Redmond gets a lot of stick but he was ok today (especially given he was having to a decent defensive shift supporting Targett) apart from that horrendous pace towards the end of the game. The problem of course is our poor form makes it hard to take this game in isolation..... Austin being out is a really worry. I'm hoping if these rumours of VVD going to City in Jan our true we are already spending the cash to shore up the gaps in our team and get them in early in the window we need a reliable strikers, more options in the full back positions, a new keeper and a proper 10 with goals in him.
-
Not today he is having to work his socks off covering Targett and get forward. The player that is letting down out there today is Tadic who has been **** poor.
-
Yes but in a game were we don't have our first choice FBs and lack any threat out wide we need someone to get out wide and get crosses in Austin rather than cutting inside.
-
Not really we aren't great but we have been the better team. Having Stephens and Targett at fullback has left us with no pace out wide which is telling. Tadic is also having a poor game maybe time to stick Boufal in behind Austin.
-
Redmond needs to played on the right. He is working hard out there but has no left foot and it shows.

Thoughts were Koeman to return (hypothetically)?
doddisalegend replied to eddie's topic in The Saints
yeah we could give Koeman a fortune to spend like Everton did it worked so well there. -
Didn't our owner used to work for chinese state security? 9) nobble all the refs in our remaining games using techniques learnt at the Ministry of State Security.
-
won't make much in the championship...
-
My guess would be fire the manager...
-
The way things are going at spurs maybe Tuchel is going there and Poch (the best manager in Europe) will be looking for a job...
-
I'd rather have Puel than the **** we've got now...
-
He didn't want to come to us in the summer so I'm pretty sure he won't want to come to the shower of ****e we have become now..
-
Meh the manager isn't as good as the last one and a lot of the players are bang average four top 8 finishes and a cup final were our high point hope you all took time to enjoy it because it because it looks like the good times are over. The sad thing is we've turned into a ****e version of a Pullis West Brom or a Burnley, working hard, keeping everyone behind the ball and rarely threatening, but without the quality to keep a clean sheet and nick a goal..... basically we are crap.
-
That would be kind of brilliant to be fair..... of course there's more chance of me getting to spend Christmas with three horny Victoria Secrets models and industrial sized bottle of baby oil than MoPe turning into a good manager.

The Possibility of a Proper Derby Match is on the Horizon
doddisalegend replied to John B's topic in The Saints
This. It's ****e being the only team without a proper derby for years on end. Rivalries are part of what makes football and apart from some faux thing with Bournemouth we have none.
