I don't think Davis is a DM either however he is our Captain ( in the absence of VVD) and I think we'd miss his leadership on the pitch if we played Hoj or JWP instead. I guess in Saturdays formation you could swap JWP and Davis over but the advantage of JWP out a a bit wider is he can whip in a decent ball.

Boufal is IMO absolutely wasted out wide with his ability on the ball you need him on the ball making something happen as much as possible which just doesn't happen when he is stuck out wide.

Its certainly a cautionary tale for those who demand saints hold on to their best players by just paying them more.

Well TBF and not trying to take anything away from Tadic, who played really well, but he had a ridiculous amount of time and space yesterday. There is a bit of the O/S highlights were literally everyone is playing at walking pass and Tadic is strolling forward with ball and takes a shot totally unchallenged by a single Sunderland player his best performance has to be taken in context of how poor the opposition where after the first 20 minutes.

No though Tadic seemed more central from the highlights I saw yesterday so I don't know if we changed formation or if Tadic was just moving there under his own violation. I still think we'd get more out of Boufal if we did play with a 10. Not sure about Tadic as shurlock says he generally seems to do his best work out wide.
