It was Harding at LB (wasn't it?) who was poor that night, though has generally been good this season.
-
I don't mind passing out from the back it's when the defence are flaffing around in front of goal passing acrooss the face of goal. One mistake in that area can be dangerous.
-
Have to say from the Chapel my first thought was "Kelvin you muppet". Got caught on the ball and then looked like he made a rash lunge to recover the situation. Seeing the highlights last night though changed my mind.
-
West ham I reckon will win the league. Got some very good players and seem to score four a match.

About the time everyone starts pouring downstairs for a pie and pint?
-
I've been looking at it another way. I knew we had good players, we've a good team spirit, a winnning mentality and I was certain they'd do ok (in fact they're doing much better than that) at this level . What has surprised me is how poor most of the champ sides are I expected them to be much better than they have been if I'm honest.

That about covers it was a good match to watch.
-
What a wierd post......this is the post match thread the idea is people give their impressions on the match both good and bad.
-
TBF he cuased problems against a makeshift back four, against our normal (settled) back four I doubt he'd of done so well. Though still better than Mcgoldmiss.
-
Me thinks you're giving forest way to much credit......... they're two goals wouldn't have looked out of place in my sons under 11 tyro league games.
-
Do they count if they go behind you or straight up in the air?
-
Which begs the question why no managers from a higher level ever took a punt on him?
-
Yep. Which means the full backs have to be right on the money.

Well Cork was playing out of postion so I can't fualt him to much (our midifeild looked slighty poorer without him too). I just thought Fox didn't look great in his chosen postion.
-
Totally agree I'm not writing him off as I said in my post above. On the other hand there is no point trying to make out that he was great on his debut he wasn't. Plenty of time for him to come good. On todays showing though he isn't any better than what we have (good cover?)
-
Nor as good as some are trying to make out. Certainly not better than Seborne arguably worse than Araon Martin.
-
Well I always reckoned rickie was better than Grant Holt........

So having finally seen Danny fox play 90mins in his favoured postion what are peoples thoughts Not as I good as I was expecting if I'm honest. In fairness to Danny his price tag meant I was expecting something special and I got pretty average. The way we play at the moment does leave the full backs rather exposed TBF. However they're we're several times when I expected the forest player coming down our left to be challenged and our LB didn't seem to be anywhere near him. His passing was a pretty wayward, specially early on, but I put that down to nerves. He didn't seem to get foward to support Adam that well either. At one point Adam was hammering forward and I looked for Fox to be overlapping him the way Harding does to see Fox heading back into our half. Not writing him off after one match, its going to take time to forge a relationship like Lallana and Harding have (they've had two season to get to know each others game) and some of his crossing/free kicks we're pretty good, including setting up Lambos third.
-
I didn't - I thought I'm so glad McGoldmiss is on we're going to win this now..............

Just goes to show how far we've come DMG never looked liked he could care less when he played for us. Look at the way Lambert celebrated today he loves it here. It feels like we have players who give a f uck these days.

Eeeek bring back Jaidi (soon) having got used to a big CB who heads the ball the way Jaidi does (ie back into the oppos half) I was shocked how awful Jos the boss was from his size I expected him to be good in the air. Got caught totally flat footed for both Forest goals (though Fontes lack of a challenge and kelvin's impression of a stone statue didn't help) Looks good with a ball at his feet very calm when in loads of space under no pressure. Not a great start IMO. Having said that one match in a make shift back four is to early to write him off.

Kurt Cobain............Loved Nivarna but the guy was no singing talent, TBF Dave Grohl is a better singer. Then again being a great singer isn't always nessecary sometimes it's just about the attitude. I'm a massive Iron maiden fan but you could never accuse Bruce Dickinson of being a great singer....

Thread is one of turkish's wind ups but there are plenty of players who move postion and it works out. Lambert played as a CM in his early days.

Forest fans aren't confident best quote from their forum Basically we should prepare our collective anus, because we're about to be f**ked by the long red-n-white striped d**k of Southampton.

Got to love the JPT Orient vs Daggers (you now the ones who play just like saints according to poyet) Finished 13-14:scared: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14845868.stm
