  1. Pretty easy win that was. Sounds like we got a bit complacent in the second half and took the foot of the gas a bit gave Swindon a glimmer of hope but there was only going to be one winner. Nice to beat Swindon at their place (for a bit of revenge after the last couple of seasons) hopefully we won't have to play them for a very long time now....
  2. Not something you here to often is it? just how slow was their defender?
  3. I think that sums up pretty well.
  4. Actually I prefered that, when AP was ****ed you knew it. Nigel just gives a load of awful cliches and manges to say a lot without ever saying anything. Occasional last season after a crappy performance I wanted Nigel to be ****ed but I don't think Nigel does ****ed HTBH.
  5. I was gutted at the time ... has all worked out for the best. I still think AP is a good manager (has Newcastle up to 6th in the PL I see) and I will always remember him in a good light becuase of the JPT. Things have moved on Nigels doing a great job it's good being a saints fan right now.
  6. Really? Butterfield has played loads of games at this level every time I've seen him play he has been better than Richardson.
  7. yes he did......he said if bambi had got the ball it might not have been a foul but as he didn't it was deffo a foul.
  8. Just goes to show how important it is to start well, only heard the game on solent, but we didn't appear to start well and got punished. If only we started the first half the way we finished the second. Wierdly deflated considering 12pts from 5 games is way above my pre-season expectations.
  9. When I was kid football down the park always wanted to be Shilton....guy was a legend

By all accounts he was very good against Norwich (even if it was a second 11 which included Surman and Hoolahan)tonight
  12. Why? surely on current form we would be favourites?
  13. Saw this on the beeb seems to suggest that the club took the desicion not to close the carpark. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-14628340

I see the beeb are lnking him with a move to West ham apparently big Sam has been to watch him play.
  15. I've got used to us winning now, hell I expect to win home or way regardless of opposition. It's ridicolous but even a draw away from home is going to seem like a major come down right now (despite the fact that really it will be a good point) The way the two sides have been playing I think we should win.

My point is track records don't mean squat plenty of proven players have moved club and been poor. Suppossed poor players have left us and gone on to better things. Right now using the critera of proven championship/PL players only we wouldn't sign half our current team. Personally I'd rather see the club spend 500K on a promising youngster than 5.5 million on a name.

Whats the obsession with track records...Rudi Skacel had a proven track record so did Andrei Kanchelskis and Mark Hughes .... hell the whole of the Leicester first 11 have track records......
  19. Not a big surprise. Still wonder why he wasn't given more of a chance here. I thought he was a great understudy for Harding never understood replacing him for Dickson.

I would be more than happy.....one thing about our stint in league one has shown me is there are some good, young players in the lower leagues who are hungry and would really like to play for us rather that than a name whos more interested in the cash.
  21. TBF Claridge has said plenty of nice things about saints over the last couple of seasons, we're never going to get an in depth discussion on saints every week when there are 72 teams that the BBC has to cover over a season. Does no one remember what MOTD, with only have 22 teams to cover, wise like? Unfashionable saints were always the last match, unless we were getting a tonking from one of the big top three, 1 minute of highlights and then that c ock Mark Lawrenson would say something negative about us followed by the credits rolling.....
  22. Well Leicester and Forest look bloody crap don't they?
  23. We would have given him hell (I suspect) on here tonight though if we'd then gone on and lost though having taken them off. Morgan was a good replacement for Dean I'm not sure anyone can replace Adam we certainly looked poorer with out him.
  24. Has it not looked at the table this league is easier than the last one:p
